Anchorage Wedding Reception

The venue you choose for your Anchorage wedding reception will depend upon a number of things.  Of course, you’ll need an event space that can comfortably accommodate your guest list, as well as your plans.  If you want an open bar at your reception, for example, you should find a venue that allows alcohol.

Do you need a site for your wedding ceremony, as well as the reception?  A number of Anchorage venues have space for both and may offer a package price that saves money.  If you’re planning a destination wedding in Anchorage, or expect several out-of-town guests, consider holding your reception in an elegant hotel or quaint bed and breakfast for convenience.

While you’re researching your options, look over a few of these popular locations for Anchorage wedding receptions:

Anchorage Wedding Reception Venue: The Hotel Captain Cook

Anchorage’s premier luxury hotel, the Captain Cook is the perfect place for an elegant Alaskan wedding reception whether you’re expecting a few guests or hundreds.  Celebrate in the classic ballroom, which can accommodate up to 770 seated guests, or enjoy breathtaking views from the rooftop Quarter Deck for parties with no more than 100 guests.  Catering is performed in-house and rooms for lodging, as well as a bridal suite, are available.

Anchorage Wedding Reception Venue: The Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center

Museums offer an intriguing and sophisticated setting for weddings and receptions; the Anchorage Museum is no different.  With four available venues and the option of also reserving the art galleries, the Anchorage Museum can host a reception for as many as 400 guests.  The museum provides onsite catering but may charge additional fees for alcohol permits.

Anchorage Wedding Reception Venue: Bayshore Clubhouse

Overlooking tranquil Bayshore Lake, the Bayshore Clubhouse is in the center of the Bayshore Owners Association neighborhood and provides a beautiful Alaskan backdrop for your wedding and/or reception.  A dance floor and full kitchen are available, as well as a spacious lawn for outdoor ceremonies.  This Anchorage wedding reception venue can accommodate up to 150 guests and can be reserved through the Bayshore event coordinator.
