Baton Rouge Wedding Reception
Baton Rouge is a beautiful city with a number of breathtaking reception venues – both indoor and outdoor. Spend some time considering your wedding theme, number of guests, and your vision of the perfect wedding celebration. Then, visit several different reception venues to determine which will best suit your event. One of the popular venues below may provide a picturesque setting for your party.
Baton Rouge Wedding Reception Venue: The Old Governor’s Mansion
Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Old Governor’s Mansion is a gorgeous historic home and museum. Built in 1929, the home is located in the Beauregard Town neighborhood and features grand staircases, beautiful chandeliers and soaring ceilings. For 200 people or less, expect to pay around $2,000 for three hours – and if you plan on marrying on the mansion’s immaculate grounds, it’ll cost you an extra $500. Catering facilities are available, but the caterer must be approved by the mansion caretakers and hold at least general liability insurance. Visit the website to download the rental guidelines for the mansion.
Baton Rouge Wedding Reception Venue: The Oak Lodge
Sparkling copper, brick elements and rich oak create an elegantly rustic look at The Oak Lodge, located on South Sherwood Forest Boulevard. The Oak Lodge offers up three choices for a beautiful reception. The Reception Center has gleaming hardwood floors, an elegant design, and seating for up to 180 guests. The Bienville room highlights a gorgeous staircase, ceramic tile floors, and seats up to 120 guests. The Orleans room boasts exposed brick, oak floors, and a 120 inch projection screen – with accommodations for up to 140 guests. There are also two venues outdoors for those who wish to book the lodge for the wedding ceremony and reception.
Baton Rouge Wedding Reception Venue: Rosemound Gardens
If you’d prefer a beautiful reception under the stars or in the warmth of the sun, Rosemound Gardens can accommodate you. Over 100 people can be seated on the extensive decks and in the gardens. Guests will enjoy the sights and smells of fresh flowers blooming and the glory of nature. Heirloom Cuisine is the preferred caterer of Rosemound Gardens, and can provide you with fantastic menus.
