Louisville Wedding Reception

Louisville Wedding Reception

While the ceremony is a sacred and special event – sure to bring a tear to every sensitive soul in the room – the reception is your chance to let loose and have a splendid time with family and friends. With great music and good food, your Louisville wedding reception is a chance to celebrate the love you have for your hubby and vice versa. There are some great reception spots, and deciding is as simple as considering your style, theme, and budget.

For something a little different, have your ceremony and reception aboard the Belle or the Spirit Steamboat. A professional coordinator will work with you to plan your celebration, including the ceremony, the rehearsal dinner, the bridal shower or luncheon, engagement party and send-off brunch. Prices for the Spirit Steamboat start at $1300 for two hours cruise time, and $600 for each additional hour.  To book the main deck for the ceremony package, expect a $350 addition to the bill.  The ceremony package includes room for 100 guests, aisle runners and seating.

Louisville Wedding Reception Venue: The Brennan House

For an elegant Louisville wedding reception you won't soon forget, the Brennan House is the place to go.  With 16'-foot ceilings, a grand staircase, Tiffany lamps and beautiful antiques – this house is the epitome of elegance. The house accommodates up to 50 indoor guests for catering, and 100 outdoor ceremony guests. Tables are provided, and you're not restricted to which caterers you may choose for your reception. You'll spend much less if you book the house between Monday and Thursday, when 6 hours costs only $500 as opposed to Saturdays, when the price jumps to $1000 for 6 hours.  You can visit to get a glimpse of the house on South Fifth Street.

Perfect Louisville Wedding Reception Tips

If you're planning to have a reception outdoors, create a backup plan in case of rain.  Pavilions or tents are a great idea, although having an alternate indoor location is ideal. When booking your venue, check with your other vendors to ensure that delivery is no problem to that specific location.
