Riverside Wedding Reception

After the bride and groom say their 'I dos' – let the party begin. A wedding reception gives family and friends the chance to celebrate a newly married couple's union. Food and drink play an important role, but the perfect wedding reception site in Riverside is an even bigger piece of the puzzle. The location you choose will help set the mood for your celebration. A couple of sites to consider include:

Riverside Wedding Reception Venue: Avila Terrace

The two-story Avila Terrace is a full-service banquet and meeting facility with a fully equipped kitchen – perfect for wedding receptions in Riverside. The dining room features an Art Deco interior and terrace that provides views of the downtown mall. Live music may also take place at the 1930’s Spinet piano. The Terrace offers indoor and outdoor bars and cocktail service. The site also possesses digital AV capabilities which makes entertaining a snap. Accommodating a guest list of up to 100 people, the Avila Terrace is perfect for smaller affairs.

Riverside Wedding Reception Venue: Thatcher Manor

If you have your sights set on a garden wedding, then Thatcher Manor is worth your consideration. There are two options for ceremonies and receptions: Formal Garden and Secret Garden. The Formal Garden offers acres of landscaped gardens, walkways, and fountains. The gazebos add a romantic touch to the overall setting. If you are interested in a reception-only package, a four hour booking is required. A reception at the Secret Garden includes a standard buffet menu– served with china with flatware. They also provide a wedding cake that you 'create' by selecting from an assortment of flavors and fillings.

Riverside Wedding Reception Venue: Lakeside Room

Overlooking Fairmount Lake in Fairmount Park, plan a wedding reception at Lakeside Room, which accommodates up to 120 guests or about 90 people for banquet-style seating. In order to make plans at the Lakeside Room, it is important to contact the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department at 826-2000. There will be a variety of fees to discuss, including weekday and weekend hourly rates, kitchen fees, and payment for alcohol service.
