Kelly green and navy blue are timeless colors on the color wheel, and together they make a fabulous pair. Displayed against a backdrop of stark white, and these two colors are absolutely good-mood inducing!
We were inspired by the vibrant green of Italian sparkling water bottles, and so we used them as the basis for our table. We removed their labels via a quick hot water soak and set them in a cluster in the middle of the table. Varying heights always make for an interesting display, so we included both tall and short bottles in the group. We filled each one with water and popped two white tulips inside each one for an easy (and eco-friendly) arrangement. Daisies, white hydrangeas, spray roses, and even mini-carnations would also work perfectly inside these bottles.
To add our pop of blue, we fashioned votive covers out of navy blue cardstock. We cut long strips from the cardstock, punched holes in the paper with a hole punch, shaped them each into a cylinder, and taped the ends together. We dropped a battery-operated votive inside each one for a flameless flicker. Easy, super inexpensive, and completely customizable!
Our napkins were made from a classic navy blue and white gingham fabric, which was the perfect amount of pattern for our strong color scheme. A personalized sprig of rosemary was used as both a place setting and a favor, and adds a deliciously fragrant element to the table. (Any green herb or green foliage will work; just make sure it's something hardy that won't wilt without water.)
It's a fresh take on a classic color combination!
