We were swept away with the ethereal, billowing wedding gowns in Kelly Faetanini's fall 2014 collection. But what also caught our eye? The angelic look the models embodied as they floated down the runway. Youthful, modern, and fresh-- this makeup look is perfect for any spring or summer bride and better yet, it's very easy to achieve! Read on to learn how.
This look is very natural and dewey, just prepare the skin with a lightweight tinted moisturizer (SPF is encouraged!) If you need more coverage, reach for a buildable liquid foundation and apply with your fingertips. The natural oils in your hands will help blend the product into your skin. Then, dab a highlighter on your brow bones, outside corner of your cheek bones, bridge of the nose, and your cupid's bow-- between the two peaks on your upper lip, and blend. With a big buki bronzer brush apply a light dusting of fine shimmer powder around your hairline and to your nose.
To get that naturally flushed 'blushing bride' look apply a lip & cheek stain to the apples of your cheeks. We like Benetint by Benefit. Three drops to each cheek will do and blend, blend, blend with your fingertips. If you want even more of a dewey glow, dab a shimmer blush stick, like Orgasm by Nars, to your cheeks and the bridge of your nose. Hello halo effect, you'll be mesmerizing as you walk down the aisle!
We love how captivating the eyes are in this heavenly beauty look-- the white liner makes eyes look more open, bigger and brighter! If you want more of an edge on your wedding day, do as these models did and apply a white eyeliner to your lower waterline and lash line. Be sure to apply it to your inner corners as well and wing up and out from your lower lash line to create some drama. For a more subdued and wearable look, apply the white liner just to your inner corners and lower waterline. This will be just enough to give you that well-rested look. Your guests won't even know that it's makeup!
For soft, kissable, pink lips, apply a tinted lip balm. This will add a subtle shade of pink, moisturize your lips and give you a slight sheen without that sticky feeling that gloss can leave you with. We like Smith's Rosebud Salve Balm. If you want to go pinker, dab some blush on your lips first with your fingertips, then balm away!
