Get ready for the holidays with this versatile winter bouquet, which is small enough to use almost anywhere. Adorn table settings at the rehearsal dinner or reception, with these affordable blooms. Or pop the mini bouquets into small vases, running the length of each table, for a more casual centerpiece option. You can even use this technique to create a larger bouquet for bridesmaids to carry on the big day.
- Wax Flowers
Step One: Attach wire near the bottom of a pinecone, twisting several times. Then bend the remainder of the wire downward to create something that resembles a floral pick. Set aside.
Step Two: Cut down several mums stems to 6 inches in length and remove all leaves from the stems.
Step Three: Start to form a small arrangement of mums and wax flowers (3-4 stems total to start), making sure to criss cross the stems 1-2 inches below the base of the blooms. Then add the wired pinecone, just as you would a flower.
Step Four: Next, tie a piece of twine around the stems and wire pick, and double knot tightly.
Now, you have a tiny, festive arrangement perfect for the holidays.
