Some typical photos we take at weddings for must-haves include:

Before Wedding - Bride/Groom with mom, Bride/Groom with dad, Bride/Groom with both parents, Bride/Groom with all bridesmaids/groomsmen, Bride with groomsmen, Groom with bridesmaids, Bride/Groom with MOH/BM, Bride/Groom alone;

After Wedding - Bride & Groom and ALL family members, B&G with immediate family, B&G with both sets of parents and grand parents, B&G with both sets of parents, B&G with Brides parents, B&G with Grooms parents, B&G with all attendants, B&G with Bridesmaids, B&G with groomsmen, B&G with honor attendants, B&G alone

Hope this helps withyour picture must-haves

if you want to be specific, I would just start out with a list of:

- "formal" shots you want - you and your parents, you guys and his, etc.  to make sure you don't miss anyone

- Then go through the day in your head and think of the little details and things you'll be doing (i.e.: ceremony: his first look, you coming down, your wedding party, blah, blah).

-special shots (i.e. ring finger shot, jumping shot, anything special you want)

We printed some of the must haves to show our photographer.

This article should help you out!  :)

  • Parents' table

  • Guests' tables

  • Close-up of friends and family making toasts

  • Bride and groom sipping champagne

  • Parents dancing

  • Bride and Dad dancing

  • Groom and Mom dancing

  • Wedding party dancing

  • Grandparents dancing

  • Kids playing or dancing

  • Musicians or DJ doing their thing

  • Guests going nuts on the dance floor (again, slow shutter speed could be effective)

  • Bride and groom feeding each other cake

  • Dessert table

  • Bouquet toss (perhaps a vertical shot from in front of the bride)

  • Bride and groom leaving, waving from getaway car's backseat

Rear of car departing

I really, really want a super "winter-y" one!!! Among the obvious.
