Flowers that Never Die

I've always been a crafter and wanted to be able to put my craft signature on the wedding.  After seeing in a wedding magazine the idea of ribbon roses as a decorative accent to a party, wondered what would happen if I took that idea to a bigger level and choose to do all the wedding flowers as ribbon roses.

Early on my husband and I decided we wanted a lot of color in our May wedding to really reflect the joy of the occassion.

25 yard each of orange, gold, fushia and purple 1 1/2 inch wire ribbon

Six stryofoam bouquet bases

Green spray paint

Assorted faux greenary

Additionally, budget was a concern and we were able to do all the flowers (6 bouquets, 10 boutonnieres, 4 wrist corsages, program baskets, and cake decoration) for about $300.  I got all the color I wanted, the grandure of roses and the flowers will always look beautiful (and my bouquet sits in a vase in our home).
