These elegant and unique DIY Passport Invitations are perfect for a destination wedding or just for a couple that loves to travel. Save some money and add a custom touch to your wedding that your guests won’t soon forget.

Paper Materials Needed:

  • 5.5"x8.5" Cardstock with Fold

  • 8.5”x11” Paper

  • 5”x3.5” Cardstock

  • Needle & Thread (to match cardstock)

Tools Needed:

  • Paper Cutter/Scoring Board

  • Corner Rounder

  • Printer

Optional Materials

  • Ribbon

  • Rubber Stamp

  • Ink Pad

  • Steps:

    1.    Print Front Cover Design on Cardstock. This is a great place to really get creative. Try palm trees or starfish for a beach wedding or go traditional with your country’s passport emblem. The sky is the limit!

    2.    Using the paper cutter, cut the 8.5”x11” paper in half horizontally to create 8.5”x5.5” rectangles of paper. These will be used as the “Passport Pages”.

    3.    *Optional Step – Create custom “stamp” images using MS Word to customize your “passport pages.”

    4.    Print Passport Pages the 8.5”x5.5” papers. My Passport Invitations consist of 8 pages not including the information printed on the inside front and inside back covers. You may add more or less depending on your needs. Here are some suggestions for your pages:

    a.    Printed on Cardstock

    • Inside Front Cover: Announcement information

    • Inside Back Cover: Location Map

    b.    Printed on Paper:

    •  Page 1: Information Overview

    • Page 2: Recommended Hotels

    • Page 3: Recommended Hotels

    • Page 4: Recommended Hotels

    • Page 5: Local Attractions

    • Page 6: Ceremony & Reception Information

    • Page 7: Driving Directions

    • Page 8: Registry Information

5.*Optional Step – Stamp the inside front of your Cardstock with desired stamp & ink.  Allow the ink from your stamp to dry completely before printing the “Information Overview” on top of it

    6.    Print the “Information Overview on the inside front of the Cardstock. Also print the Map on the inside back of the Cardstock.

    7.    Use the Scoring Board to create a fold in the “Passport Pages”

    8.    Use the Corner Rounder to add a finished and authentic look to all of the “Passport Pages” and the “Passport Cover”

    9.    With the “Passport Cover” and “Passport Pages” opened to the middle page and lined up, use your needle and thread to sew 2-3 stitches through the top and 2-3 stitches through the bottom to secure the pages together. You may use a stapler in place of stitches.

    10.  *Optional Step – String ribbon through the middle pages and secure in front with a bow to give your invitation a finished look.

    11.  Print RSVP information on the 5”x3.5” cardstock
