There is no better way to ensure your guests remember the special day you are planning then to post the date on their fridge!   In lieu of giving them a face photo to stare at for the coming 4-9 months, why not hand off a pretty felt magnet that can grace their kitchen with your love even after you're married!     Materials: Felt Scissors Ribbon A custom stamp Small adhesive magnets Embroidery thread A needle   To Make:   Cut felt (2 layers at a time) in the shape of a heart.     Your hearts don't have to be perfect - the more unique and homemade the better!     Cut a coordinating ribbon and stamp in your wedding date.     Place the dated ribbon coming out from one side of the heart.     Place the top layer over the bottom and begin hand stitching the heart together using embroidery thread. Be sure to stitch through the ribbon to hold it into place.       Almost there ...     Send off with a sweet announcement to your guests.     Photos By Carly Taylor

These sweet and wild green wreaths are perfect for anytime of year (just change out the ribbon to suit the season). They look gorgeous on church doors, bride and groom chairs, or as pew markers. Total cost: $5 per wreath.     Materials: Spool wire Floral tape Clippers Greens (about 15 stems per wreath, we used rosemary, bay and boxwood) Ribbon      1. Form a circle (whatever size you need. Remember your wreath will be slightly bigger than the form) with the spool wire and double it over several times.   2. Cover the circle in floral tape.     3. Cut small pieces of greens and, take excess leaves off about an inch of the bottom stem.     4. Secure each piece with wire.     5. Make sure you overlap the stems to cover any wires or mechanics. You may need to fill in with a few extra pieces.     6. You can make these up to a week ahead of time. Spray daily with water and keep in a cool, dark place.   7. Hang with ribbon and afterwards send them home with special guests.       Add this natural touch to your big day - and have fun!     Photos By: Chelsea Fuss

You'll need:  1. 3 cake pans (sizes: 11", 8", 4.5") 2. A cake stand (aprox "12 round) 3. A pound cake recipe 4. Buttercream frosting (4 cups) 5. 1 frosting knife 6. Flowers + herbs (make sure they are organic and edible!)     Bake your cakes the night before and let them cool overnight. Put together with toothpicks holding the layers.     Once you have placed your toothpicks, stack your cakes carefully!     Almost there...     Voila!     Measure layers to make sure that all the cakes are centered from all sides.     Frost with frosting knife -- get the knife wet to make it extra smooth.     Clean off edges of the cake stand. Keep refrigerated until right before serving.     Your cake is ready to decorate now!     Have fun adding edible herbs and flowers.     Herbs will hold up for a long time, but add the flowers last minute so add them that morning, securing them with frosting.     Using a pound cake recipe is your best bet because they do not crumble. Buttercream frosting can melt easily, keep your cake as cool as possible before serving!     Your gorgeous cake is ready!     The best part ... tasting the sweet creation.

Secure the fabric on the inside. fold over raw edges, press them and then secure them to the cover with glue.     Tie together the pages and secure them to the fabric cover with string or ribbon.     For the window opening, cut an X in the fabric and glue the excess fabric underneath the cover.     Secure photos with photo corners.

Concept by: Victoria Hudgins Photos by Erin Holland   Add a dash of confetti to your party in the form of a chandelier! This looks fabulous hung in multiples on top of a dessert bar, or hung individually as centerpieces.     In fact, you can turn your confetti chandelier into a 'cake topper,' who says that a 'topper' has to be placed directly on top of the cake?     Cut out one inch confetti rounds from colored paper. We used about 120 rounds for this installation. I would suggest using a monotone color scheme or 4-5 coordinating colors on each hoop.     Thread the confetti dots together. Begin at the top, leaving enough thread to attach the string to an embroidery hoop. Have your hot glue gun ready and place a tiny drop of glue on the bottom of each dot to hold it in place.     Using an embroidery hoop, tie four to six strings across the top in a criss cross pattern.     One at a time, tie the strands of confetti dots onto the hoop and string base. You can paint or adorn the hoop as needed to match your wedding décor.     Hang the installation above a cake or elsewhere; adjust the length of the strands for just the right balance.

A lush utopia for destination weddings and honeymoons (expert advice)

Boasting Negril's world-renowned seven-mile beach, majestic waterfalls, lively locals in Montego Bay and the untouched South Coast, Jamaica is an exhilarating destination for weddings and honeymoons. The warm tropical climate, mouthwatering jerk cuisine and thrilling activities also make it one of the friendliest hosts in the world and truly an authentic Caribbean experience. Imagine getting lost in a lush utopia where the beauty of the sea meets the awe-inspiring landscape of the mountains. Your tropical dream wedding and honeymoon will come true in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.  Rich greenery, mountains that loom over white sand beaches and the world-renowned Dunn's River Falls are what make Ocho Rios such an extraordinary destination. • A few simple steps to do it up right (expert advice)
By Lisa Butterworth for our sponsor, Etsy Weddings

What do you do when one of your best friends gets engaged? If you’re like me, beyond the excited squeals and enthusiastic hugging — you have no idea.

I met my friend Jeanette when we were five years old. Five! And when one of your best friends gets engaged — as Jeanette recently did — it's time to celebrate her. Here’s a helpful breakdown of the party-planning process — so when it comes time to throw your best girl a bridal shower, you can honor her in style.

Photo & Invite Design by Erin Mowry

    1. Pick Invites

We’re going the simple, eco-friendly route and sending email invites through PaperlessPost.com, but there are a ton of adorable, tangible shower invite designs on Etsy, as well as download-and-print options.

Clockwise from top left: Light shower invitation by Youngwanderlust; Hydrangea invitation by Digibuddhapaperie; Whimsy invitation by Yellowbrickgraphics; Love is sweet invitation by Pinkcreativeinvites; Coed shower invitations by Cadencepaige; I Do couples shower invitations by Minkcards. See more shower invites...

    2. Decorate

This is where a theme comes in handy. If you have a specific vibe, you can decorate accordingly. If your party doesn’t have a theme, pick a color scheme to bring it all together. A few areas you’ll want to decorate: serving buffet, bar area, gift table, activities area, table for favors. Don't forget about centerpieces, string lights, hanging decorations, banners, and food markers for added flair.

Clockwise from top left: Poppy hanging flowers by Whimsypie; Engagement ring cookies by Peapodsnyc; Bride-to-be banner by Fancyflamingo; Mossy pot place cards by Fairyfolk; Corset cookies by Pastrytartbakery; Mr. and Mrs. chair banner by Purplepeonycouture; Candy heart tree by Astylishdesign; Something blue wedding cake cookies by Lindasedibleart. Browse more décor...

    3. Plan a Menu

Plan your menu according to the theme of your party or the time of day. If you’re intimidated by all that kitchen prep, make the shower a potluck and have everyone bring copies of their dish’s recipe (here are a couple of adorable, (1) free downloadable (2) recipe cards for such an occasion).

    4. Snag Fun Favors

It’s the hostess’s job to send all the party-goers home with a little favor. To go with our beachy, West Coast theme, we’re making friendship bracelets for all of the ladies. Make sure your favor is small but meaningful and tie it in with the theme of your party as best you can.

Clockwise from top left: Personalized seed bomb favors by Visualingual; Pinwheels by Pickledparlor; Personalized honey jar labels by Elsiej; Succulent favors by Tobieanne; Personalized photo sleeve by Myonesweetdaydotcom; Unicorn farts lip balm by Longwintersoapco; Gin and tonic soap by Aromaholic. Shop for favors on etsy...

    5. Shower Her with Gifts

The bride-to-be is almost certainly registered with at least one department store, but often it’s more fun to shop off-list, especially for a shower present. Kitchenware and home décor are excellent go-to gift genres, but a sassy piece of lingerie will always be welcome, too.

Clockwise from top left: Bride panties from Bridalbooties; Chill pill soap by Kcsoapsnmore; Vintage clock from Ethanollie; A Guineafowl Gathering painting by Unitedthread; Ceramic salad bowls by Blueskypotteryco; Dry rub spice trio from Craigsmarket; Customized rubber stamp by Housethatlarsbuilt; Personalized wood initials ring by Braggingbags; Vintage ceramic teapot from Hindsvik; Wood ampersand by Hindsvik.  See more gift ideas for the bride-to-be...

Whew! That’s a lot of steps. The most important thing to keep in mind is to create an environment that will allow your guests to have fun, even if the cupcake frosting isn’t perfect or the décor doesn’t totally come together. As long as it’s memorable, and the guest of honor feels loved, you’ve done an amazing job.

    5. Shower Her with Gifts

The bride-to-be is almost certainly registered with at least one department store, but often it’s more fun to shop off-list, especially for a shower present. Kitchenware and home décor are excellent go-to gift genres, but a sassy piece of lingerie will always be welcome, too.
