Great! We ordered the PDF and had people sign on the leaves. Great idea!
Hint: Order large and run the risk of not having leaves signed.

Tanya did the make-up for my wedding. She did an awesome job. Tanya applied not just my make-up but also did the make-up for my mother, my two bridesmaids, my junior bridesmaid and my two flower girls. AShe took wonderful care of all us.

I had very little sleep the night before and large case of butterflies in my tummy but when I left her chair I looked well rested and glowing and felt like Grace Kelly in my 50's style wedding dress.

My mom was frazzled from being upstairs supervising all the decorations but she visibly relaxed and started smiling when Tanya worked her magic.

One of bridesmaids rarely wears makeup and she talked about how easy and gentle the whole process was for her and she loved how natural and beautiful she looked.

My junior bridesmaid felt very grown up with ting bit of blush and gloss. She looked very cute and it was so appropriate for her age.

The flower girls loved getting a little attention too and felt like princesses with their clear gloss.

Everyone just felt more tranquil and were smiling when she was done. She was very professional and I'd highly recommend her. The joy she has in doing her work just comes so clearly across in both her attitude and her work. She just makes everyone feel special that's around her. I would definitely hire again to do my make-up and will definitely recommend her to all my friends.

I hired Extra Hands Catering for my daughter's Wedding Reception. The Service was wonderful and very professional. The food was wonderfully displayed and constantly replenished. They took care of everything for me allowing me to spend time with my daughter, friends and family. I have two more daughters and Extra Hands Catering will be one of the first calls I make when they get engaged.

Auburn Brides ”

Hi Ladies,

Any Auburn brides on the board?

I'm trying to get a feel for the weather in Auburn in June. I've heard so many conflicting reports. We're getting married in June (mid June) of 2010. Both our ceremony and reception are outdoor, so it's very dependant on the weather. I'm not worried about the heat, but worried it will cool down at night. Our ceremony will start around 4:30 and reception will end around 10:00pm. Can any of you shed some light on the weather this time of year??

Thank you!

“ Need Help... Eng. Session - Need help finding vintage aircraft for pics ”

Hi,

Fi and I will be doing engagement shoots soon (in the Bay Area) and I would like to take some photos with vintage aircraft. If any of you have done this at a reasonable price please let me know. I am figuring we will probably only want to rent the aircraft for 1-2 hrs at the most. Thank you for any help/lead you can provide.

Linda

“ DRESS QUESTION:: ASOS?? ”

...ever bought from the company called ASOS?  I read some reviews online about bad customer service and shipping horrors and so far...I'm really disheartened.  I found a gorgeous dress for our intimate (parents, siblings only, and our kids of course) and I would be crushed if it didn't come in time or if I had to return it. Here's the dress I reeaally want:

Haven't decided on which color as I'm fair skinned, naturally dark auburn with (natural mind you) blond highlights, and dark brown/almost black eyes. You guys can chime on that too! I wish I could dye the white dress a creamy color!

“ Attire and Style ” by mrsatch

Two months after I got engaged, my mom and I went dress shopping. I thought I had found THE dress, but I think it was just excitement. I'm so glad Mom forced me to "sleep on it" even though she was in love with my original choice. It was a Mori Lee 2803.

Attire and Style photo 1

I think i just fell in love with the fabric and the inverted pleats. Don't get me wrong it is a beautiful dress, but not at all what I was truly looking for.

THEN....my mom and MOH went dress shopping again. I was hoping to spend about $700, but the night before our trip, I found an Enzoani ad in one of my (many) bridal magazines. Something in my gut told me that I had to, at least, try this dress on. I did a little research online and realized I would be adjusting my budget. Boy, was I right! I have always liked things to be a little simple, but I also like subtle fanci-ness. Add that to the fact that I wanted something that had a waist, and I found my perfect dress!! Auburn by Blue by Enzoani:

I try on my actual dress for the first time next Saturday (1/24/09). My shoes are on their way....

NayleenNine West "Nayleen" on sale for $42 (inc. tax & shipping)

Attire and Style photo 4Me Too "Jeanette" at zappos.com $88.95 (before coupon)

Attire and Style photo 5Caparros "Dolce" at dsw.com (picture them in brown) $54.95 (before coupon)

So, I ordered 3 options. I thought I was in the love with the Nine West's, but impossible to wear. I just received the Caparros today, but the shade of brown was just all wrong. # 2 IT IS!! I LOVE, love, love my "Jeanette"s! I can't even tell you how comfortable they seem.

Originally, I didn't want a veil. But the girl at the bridal shop put a cathedral lenth veil with subtle sprinklings of crystals around the edges on me. OMG!! I must have it! Although, I'm going to order online and save, like, 90%. The back of my dress is fairly plain, so I think the veil will add just the right touch.

I have also fallen in love with this hairstyle:

I've been going blonde for most of my adult life, but I've been toning it down for awhile now (I secretly prefer myself brunette anyway). My hairdresser LOVES this style for me, and she wants to "blonde me up" right before the wedding so that this will really "pop".

“ How We Met ” by laraashley4

These stories of how we met are from our website www.christophercraigweb.com/wedding.

How We Met photo 1

Chris' Story:

It’s was a cold dark night for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team. Tubberville and the Auburn Tigers had just beaten Bama for the sixth straight year. Lara had gotten put on call that night and was out with Stefanie, Olivia, & Kevin at Sam’s sports bar watching the game. Stefanie was rubbing it her face and that put Lara into a horrible mood…until she saw me

Like a beacon of light in her dark time I entered Sam’s sports bar.

I had been out at the Predators hockey game on a date. A date that at the time I thought had gone fairly well, but I can’t even remember her name now. I guess Lara made me forget her easily.

The football game had ended and I was just arriving at Sam’s to meet up with Kevin and Chris Brown. Lara was sitting at the table across from me and we chatted it up for awhile. The night ended and I somehow left Sam’s without even getting her number.

I didn’t forget Lara and was bugging Stefanie every chance I could get about giving me her number. Stefanie never supplied it to me, despite her claim of hooking us up.

I ended up finding Lara on MySpace and we began chatting again. She had to go out of town and it was quite some time before we actually went out on our first date.

We would finally meet up again to see The Dempsey’s, a band in the Walk the Line movie, playing at a show in Nashville. To help make Lara comfortable we had Stefanie, Kevin, Margo, and some others at the show too.

It was a great date and we spent the date dancing and talking until early in the a.m. I even helped her put up 900 Alabama ornaments on her Christmas tree.

From that point on our dates got better and better and our love for one another grew stronger. We’ve shared vacations, tears, fights, makeups, family events, and now an engagement. I love her and I can’t wait for more.

Lara's Story:

It was Saturday, November 27th, and a quick phone call would end up changing my life forever.  I had been sleeping all day because I was scheduled to work that night but was awoken at 5pm by my wonderful charge nurse asking if I would like to be on call.  I gladly accepted because it was the night of the Alabama-Auburn game and I was positive that there was no way Tuberville could beat us again.  I ended up making plans to go watch the game at Sam’s Sports Bar with Stefanie and her boyfriend Kevin.  Knowing that Kevin was a Tennessee fan and Stefanie an Auburn fan, I knew I would need reinforcements….Olivia!  So off we went to cheer on the Tide.

Four quarters later, it was six in a row for the Auburn Tigers and I was about ready to call it a night.  But Stefanie convinced me to stay for another drink and in walked Kevin’s roommate, Mr. Christopher Craig.  We started talking and I thought it was going pretty well but at the end of the night he never asked me for my phone number.  I figured he just wasn’t interested and moved on.  The next week, I was in New York visiting a friend when I got a MySpace message from Chris.  He explained how he had been trying to get my number from Stefanie but wasn’t having much luck.  A few messages and phone calls later we decided Friday December 7th would be our first official date.

We went to Rippy’s with Kevin, Stefanie, and Margo to see the Dempseys play.  Everyone else had come along for support but we clearly didn’t need it.  We spent the entire night talking and dancing without paying much attention to anyone else.  Chris took me back to my house and we stayed up late drinking hot chocolate and decorating my Christmas tree.  It’s kind of cheesy, I know, but it is also a well known fact that I LOVE Christmas!  We really hit it off, but it was our third date when I realized that this was something very special.  We just went out for a casual Mexican dinner, but ended up staying at the restaurant talking all night until they closed and kicked us out.  It was amazing how comfortable he made me and how easy it was to talk to him about anything and everything.

Many dates, conversations, football games, kisses, tears, and laughter later, I consider myself the luckiest woman in the world to be the future Mrs. Christopher Craig.  He is an absolute perfect fit for me.  Chris is such a supportive, loving, talented man and I know he will be an amazing husband and (one day) father.  I am excited to take this next step in our lives and I can’t wait to make even more memories together.

Houdini's Story:

Bow-wow wow yippie yo yippie yay! It was a day like every other day. Tyson, my twin brother, and I were locked in a box together, again. Our escape plan had been foiled once more, and I was left to wait until dad released me from the box. We spent much of that afternoon chewing on each others ears and dreaming of freedom outside.

Dad would finally arrive home but not alone. In with him came a dame like I had never seen before. She was wonderful at rubbing behind my ears, cuddling, and handing out cookies. I loved her instantly or maybe I just loved the cookies.

At first I felt that she was stealing away dads' attention, but then I came to realize that Lara could offer me freedom from that damned box. Lara would cuddle me in the days while we slept and Dad would cuddle me when Lara would leave at night. Hence no box time for me. HIGH FIVE!

I grew to love Lara and I can’t wait to make her my full-time mom!

P.S. – I have registered at the PetSmart in Hermitage, TN should anyone remember me during wedding shopping.
