What a place! ...Our wedding day at Old Glory Ranch was the day our dreams came true... Our wedding venue hunt was wide and infact international in scope. We had attended weddings at other Hill Country venues and I knew I wanted to get married there. Old Glory Ranch truly captures the Texas hill country spirit and essence - with its incredible views and vibes, the beautiful scenic spot that it occupies on the Blanco river and the outstanding natural beauty of the area. From the moment we entered Old Glory on our first visit together, I knew this was it. Every aspect of wedding admin liason with Old Glory was smooth and made so easy by their flexibility and happiness to always go the extra mile. From the vast array of absolutely wonderful choices - to get married by the river or at Chapel Hall (we chose the river and had the party into the evening at the gorgeous Chapel Hall), to the exceptional touches of detail and elegance that Suzanne and her team created, the miniature donkeys, the friendliness, the flowers, the caterers (we chose Don Strange who was awesome), the staff - so attentive and professional - everything was from a picture perfect fairytale dream. On the day, we felt treated like royalty, as did our guests. I knew this was going to be a day like no other, not just for me and my now husband but also for our friends and family. Everything was utterly first class: the idyllic setting in beautiful Wimberley, the gorgeous venue with its thoughtful details and touches, the great staff, food, music, everything was so amazing and even more than I ever dreamed it would be! I saw in People magazine that Jenna Lee the Fox News anchor recently got married here, and I can definitely see why she chose it!

Ingrid was amazing! We live in San Diego and had our wedding in Cary, NC. WE were looking for an officiant that could do a ceremony with people from all different backgrounds and religions. Ingrid somehow not only made our wedding perfect but also helped organize our rehearsal. She is truly a blessing and will work with you until your ceremony is exactly how you want it. Standing at the alter she made us feel extremely relaxed. She also has a great personality, all of guest and bridal party adored Ingrid! Thanks for making our day even more special.

I was looking for a venue since the Pleasanton Hotel closed. I decided to come close to home and check out what I had known as Willow Park Golf Course. They have a great event center. I have been working with Maggie and she has answered all of my questions and assisted with all of my needs. They have a beautiful little wedding chapel near the driving range, and the rooms that are available for the reception are very roomy. I have priced different venues in the area for a similar sized event and hands down this was the best deal out there. It was half the price of a Vineyard wedding at a local winery. Some people don't even know it is nestled in the hills of Castro Valley. If you want to keep your wedding local, this is the place to have it.

If you are looking for somewhere truly special for your wedding ceremony, this is your place: http://newhopechapeltn.tripod.com/. New Hope is a quaint, warm Chapel which sits on the top of a tall hill on the outskirts of Shelbyville, TN. The back of the Chapel, at the alter, is all windows....I had a 6:30pm wedding and this was one of the most breathtaking sunsets I have ever seen! As you are walking to the entrance of the chapel, you will be led to walk through this huge stone cross, which is one of my favorite features of the church and presents some excellent photo opportunities!

“ Updates?? Where is everybody? ”

Where is everybody? Any new updates? This board has been so dead lately.

I will be the first to admit that I have not been around as much as I used to be. I was in denial after our miscarriage thinking that we would get pregnant right away and I would'nt have to use the word infertility again! But, AF showed her face last week and we are back to trying clomid. I will be doing another round of 150mg. Taking baby asprin daily, using pre-seed, propping my butt up with a pillow, and using progesterone cream after O. CD6 today so I took my first round of pills last night. Usually O on clomid cd17-18.

I have been super cranky lately with no clue as to why.  Yesterday I heard a song on the radio by Jason Aldean "Laughed Until We Cried" and there is a verse that goes. "Just the other night the baby was crying, so I got out of bed and rocked her awhile, and I held her tight, and told her it would be alright. My mind traveled back to a few years ago, we tried so long we almost gave up hope, and I remember you, coming in and telling me the news. Oh man, we were living, going crazy in the kitchen, we danced and screamed and held each other tight, and laughed until we cried." If you don't know the song, it is a good one. Anyway, I thought about how happy we were when we got our bfp and were laughing and crying and then about how we are back to trying and feeling so defeated....almost giving up hope again. Started balling on the way home. I was able to hold it together until I saw DH and then broke down again and started crying. DH was way confused!!

So, I am an emotional mess right now and the only word I can think of when it comes to trying again this month is "defeated". But, I am trying to hold my head high and look towards the day we get another bfp.

Sorry for my long rant....how is everybody else doing? Where are you in your cycle this month? Doing anything different?

“ Blush Pink, Light Green, Ivory and Gold Inspiration - My Daugther's Wedding - Need Help ”

Hi everyone,  My daugter finally got engaged.  Her E ring is gorgeous.  So, in addition to fine tuning our October 1 DW, I am not thrust into mad wedding planning with my daugher.

Hi everyone My daugter photo 3084210-1Hi everyone My daugter photo 3084210-2

She and her fiance reside in Windermere Florida, but are coming home(Philly suburbs) for the wedding.  Needless to say, I will be responsible for a a lot of the planning and ideas.  She has a high profile/busy job at Disney.

We think we found a venue...The Mendenhall Inn.  Her father(my ex) has to okay it as he is paying for her wedding.

What we need is inspiration photos.  She would like pale pink(blush), pale mint green, and ivory/gold.  I have no idea on how to find inspiration boards.

Can any of you help me?

Thanks in advance.

“ My interesting weekend in Raleigh, NC for BM Wedding ”

One of my best girlfriends, who is also one of my BM got married this weekend, in Raleigh, NC where she lives. We flew down late Friday night, and woke up on Saturday morning to the news telling us of the tornado warnings for our are (we were in the center of downtown Raleigh). My girlfriend stayed very calm ( not sure if I would have been). The wedding was scheduled for 6 pm, and at 3:30 ish, the skies went very very dark and the wind and rain were crazy. We could see the huge clouds roll right over top of the hotel we were in. We left for the ceremony at 4:45 and drove the 30 mins to Chapel Hill. The rain had stopped and everything seemed to have moved northeast. Fortunately everyone arrived safely to the church, although they had to start over an hour late.

I am very grateful we all were safe, but my heart goes out to those who werent as lucky as us, and lost thier lives, and those who lost thier homes. It was a scary situation

“ Prelude Music ”

How many songs do you really need for the prelude music.

My wedding is going to start as soon as the important guests arrive meaning my family. We have told our guest to arrive at 3 for a Housewarming but its a Surprise Wedding. We plan to start the wedding once our whole family arrives. I know there will be guest arriving during the ceremony but nothing I can do to avoid that. So the dj will be playing songs until the ceremony starts. I want a few songs to set the tone of the wedding.Which is a fun wedding! So like 5 prelude songs. Is that sound about right.

“ A Li'l About Us... ” by Hawaii2010

A Li l About Us photo 1

Him & Me

My fiancée and I have been dating for almost 4 years now. We live in Chapel Hill, NC- in a great little rustic house in the woods. We live with our nutty Springer Spaniel, our mighty hunter cat and an 18 year old chinchilla.

I'm a writer for a software company and he is a scientist doing his post-doc. We love, love to travel and have visited some pretty cool places together. We're also wine junkies, recently scuba certified and addicted to Mexican food (though NC struggles in that department).

We are planning to have a destination wedding in Maui, HI on April 7, 2010. We fell in love in Maui and have been there several times together- so it was only natural for us to want to get married there too. It will be a small wedding, with parents, siblings,  grandparents, and maybe a best friend or two. I'm most excited to just be able to spend time with the people I love most on the most beautiful island in the world.

“ About Us ” by bradlashon

Phil and I got engaged on December 24, 2010 at my parents house in Chapel Hill, TN after only dating for 8 months.  I know eight months doesn't seem very long but when you know your with the one you were meant for, you grab hold and never let go.

How we met

We were set up on a blind date by my mom and a long time friend of Phil's.  I was living in Chattanooga and Phil was living in Nashville at the time.  I had recently decided that I wanted to move closer to home and was looking to transfer with my job.  My mom had been working part time at a clothing department store and had become friendly with her assistant manager.  She had mentioned to her new friend that she had a daughter and started talking about me with her friend on a regular basis.  One day her friend mentioned that she had a male friend that was single and wasn't having any luck in the relationship department.  She asked my mom if she could give her friend Phil my number.  Of course my mom said yes and called me and told me all about it.  Of course I said absolutely not and refused for about two weeks before I gave in. Two and a half weeks went by and I never heard from Phil so of course my mom begged me to call him and gave me his number.  I didn't call him I sent him a text and introduced myself he called back immediately and told me that he deleted the text with my number by mistake and that's why he never called. I was coming home for the weekend so we decided to meet.  Our first date was on May 9, 2009 at the Cheesecake Factory in Nashville, TN.  He was nothing like I expected him to be, he was so much more.  We talked every day from that night forward and we made it a point to spend as much time with each other as we could even though we were two hours away from each other.  Needless to say we became inseparable and Phil helped move me to Nashville one month later on June 26, 2009.

“ The Ceremony ” by *Mandy*

small bio photo

We're excited to start our countdown to getting married on May 24, 2008 in Anaheim Hills! We'll be having our ceremony at Kindred Community Church (check vendors for details) and couldn't be happier.

It's an all inclusive event location and springtime in the hills is just amazing. We have full access to the Oak Chapel (where we'll be getting married), which is surrounded by native oak trees -- as well as the lovely gazebo, stream and bridge all the in the same vicinity.

It'll make for some awesome photos!
