My husband and I commissioned Couture Cakes out of Chattanooga to design and create both a wedding and groom’s cake for our daughter’s wedding after being referred to them by a friend who’d previously used them for her daughters wedding. Their staff was a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process from planning, designing straight through to delivery the day of our daughters wedding. We received so many compliments about the design of the cakes and wonderful feedback about the taste. We were very satisfied with the professional yet personalized service we received from Couture Cakes. My husband and I both highly recommend this bakery to family, friends and business partners.

After I got engaged I really wanted to have my wedding and reception downtown by the river. After looking at some locations I saw that The Zan Guerry clubhouse was now open to the public for rentals and the price was great! The pictures in the bridal magazines showed the clubhouse and it was beautiful and the bonus was it was located on the river downtown just minutes from the church. I called Sue to take a tour and it was more beautiful in person even in winter time. By September if was absolutely perfect with flowers and plants and the river was calm. It is nestled by the river and the mountains and bridges in the background. The sunset for our wedding was perfect. A bonus for the men is that there are 4 flatscreen tv's for sports (college football). Sue and Stephanie at the clubhouse were fantasic and very easy to work with. They helped me on the wedding day getting everything organized for the reception and worked with the caterer and other vendors. I do have to say that I had SO many compliments about the location of our wedding and how beautiful it was. The DJ was on the patio and we had plenty of space for dancing and tables/chairs for eating. They had tiki torches and strings of light going around the patio railing and it was just perfect! The have a bar/drink area perfect for serving the guests. It is a very open and flowing clubhouse. They have big 10 ft glass sliding doors that open all the way up so your guests can walk in and out of the clubhouse. I 100% recommend taking a look at The Zan Guerry clubhouse for your event. I would not change a thing about our reception location.

“ How is everyone? ”

I thought we could have a catch up as there are so many new BFP and we can learn what to expect from you mummy's to be that are further along.

6weeks 6 days

Tiredness has hit but not too bad I am also glad I am not working so can plod along at my own rate.

Couple of waves of MS but nothing to worry me.

Still spotting each day but think getting less and brown, no clots or red for 10 days.

My sight has altered!! I have had glasses for my 40th Bday and hardly ever wear them but am finding I need them more and more.

THE WORST SYMPTOM YET is nipple pain. I had this twice over the weekend my nipples went white then blue and back to red, the pain feels like burning and brings tears to my eyes. I have had this before maybe 2-3 times a year max before AF and last 10 mins, these lasted 45 -60 mins and I didn't know what to do with myself. The only thing that helped was heating my wheat bag up and holding to me. I think its vasospasm caused by Raynaud's and could recur during pregnancy and breast feeding owwwww!!! I will definatley tell midwife when I see her.

So how are you? H x

“ Tell me about where you live ”

FI & I had the discussion last night about moving. While we are not ruling Nyc metro out completely we want to consider other options, especially since it's crazyridic expensive here.

So for fun tell me about where you live.

Is it diverse? What do you think the average income is? Average housing price? What kind of industry/jobs are there? Why do you love/hate it? Would you recommend moving there?

Right now FI & I are liking Denver, Portland & Scottsdale, AZ (just because I've always wanted to live in AZ)

“ Gettin' hitched! :) ” by LisaWebb

Just got engaged the first weekend in October 2008. My boyfriend suprised me by unexpectedly showing up during my trip to Chattanooga, Tennessee. He had pre-arranged it with my friends who live in Chattanooga, and came to a resturaunt that we were all eating at, and proposed in front of everyone. He worked every detail out down to booking the same return flights back to Lincoln, Nebraska where we currently live. So exciting! Now for the planning... I am from Indianapolis so the wedding will be there. Long distance wedding planning, here I come!

“ About me!! ” by vintagebride09

Hello to all the other Lucky to be in love brides!!! My name is Mary and I currently live in Chattanooga, TN with my husband Alex and our 3 year old son Caleb.  We were previously living in Knoxville up until September when my DH got a new job here in Chattanooga. I lucked up on a job at a Insurance Brokerage firm, and absolutely love it!  I am currently from Chattanooga, and so glad to be back.

Alex and I have known each other for about 7 years. We both went to college at ETSU but never really thought of each other like that.  Then 2 years ago, I picked up the phone and we never put it down.  We moved in together about 3 months later and got engaged March 27, 2009.  We are not the "take your time" kind of people.  But we love each other more then anything and can't wait to be together formally!

My son, Caleb turned 3 in October.. and let me say the things that he has taught me! HA HA.. Hes the most interesting, loving, all-about town little thing I have ever met. Hes the light of my eye, and everyday I thank the lord for him.  We just put him in Daycare for the 1st time in October and its AMAZING!!

Such an exciting time in my life as well as everyone elses.. We got married August 29,2009 in Watersound, FL.  Our ceremony was on the beach.. of course barefoot and then our reception was up on the grass right off the beach.  This location had such a huge importance to us.. and we were so fortunate to be able to share it with everyone on our wedding day!

On May 19, 2010, Alex legally adopted Caleb! Wow! what a day that was! Talk about emotions coming out the wazoo.. It was a beautiful day :)

We are currently in the process of getting on our feet and figuring out our "routine". We have started to discuss the idea of having another baby in May 2010.  If there was one thing I learned from my first pregnancy would be that I do not want to be pregnant in the summer. ha ha

“ About Us ” by bradlashon

Phil and I got engaged on December 24, 2010 at my parents house in Chapel Hill, TN after only dating for 8 months.  I know eight months doesn't seem very long but when you know your with the one you were meant for, you grab hold and never let go.

How we met

We were set up on a blind date by my mom and a long time friend of Phil's.  I was living in Chattanooga and Phil was living in Nashville at the time.  I had recently decided that I wanted to move closer to home and was looking to transfer with my job.  My mom had been working part time at a clothing department store and had become friendly with her assistant manager.  She had mentioned to her new friend that she had a daughter and started talking about me with her friend on a regular basis.  One day her friend mentioned that she had a male friend that was single and wasn't having any luck in the relationship department.  She asked my mom if she could give her friend Phil my number.  Of course my mom said yes and called me and told me all about it.  Of course I said absolutely not and refused for about two weeks before I gave in. Two and a half weeks went by and I never heard from Phil so of course my mom begged me to call him and gave me his number.  I didn't call him I sent him a text and introduced myself he called back immediately and told me that he deleted the text with my number by mistake and that's why he never called. I was coming home for the weekend so we decided to meet.  Our first date was on May 9, 2009 at the Cheesecake Factory in Nashville, TN.  He was nothing like I expected him to be, he was so much more.  We talked every day from that night forward and we made it a point to spend as much time with each other as we could even though we were two hours away from each other.  Needless to say we became inseparable and Phil helped move me to Nashville one month later on June 26, 2009.
