Denver Wedding

The Curtis hotelAmazing! I cannot believe I found a hotel in Denver that matched mine and my husbands personalities so well. Sarah Morris-Perez was a dream to work with. She helped with every little detail and the day of orchestrated everything to a t. She didn't even flinch when my husband suggested shooting a t-shirt out of a t-shirt cannon at the reception she set to work to figure out how to get everything done. The rooms were also more than I could have asked for. The day of me and my bridesmaids got ready in a huge suite that over looked the Performing Arts Complex, champagne and fruit trays were delivered and the staff was more than accomodating to all of our needs. If you are looking for a fun venue that has amazing food, great staff and a huge imagination The Curtis is perfect for that.

Jenny GG PhotographyJenny is the most amazing photographer/ person I have ever met! She was so super helpful when I was flying out to Seattle to meet my Husband before he deployed, to make arrangements for and engagement shoot. She was just as amazing when it came to the wedding. Having her fly to Denver was easy; she made all of the travel arrangements. All of the photos turned out lovely she captured every detail of my big day perfectly. Looking through the photos she did not miss one moment of the action. With both my engagement photos and wedding photos Jenny edited and made us a disc of all of our pictures in 4 weeks. She is a rockstar!

Michelle's Bridal & TuxedoI purchased my Maggie Sottero Jenna from Michelle's in December 2010. My consultant, Jenna, was phenomenal (she's no longer there as she moved to Denver). She helped my aunt and I pick out several different silhouettes and styles. The first dress I tried on was the Jenna, which ended up being the one, but also had me try on the rest to make sure. Once we decided on the Jenna, something was still missing. I really loved the enzoani Diana sash, but it didn't flatter the dress. She brought out an essence of Australia sash, but it wasn't quite right either. Together we figured out that the essence sash on a black belt was perfect. She finished off the look with a gorgeous cathedral length raw edge veil, and made me feel like a beautiful bride for the first time. Jenna made a bittersweet moment (both of my parents passed away) turn into a spectacular moment, and one of my favorites in all of my planning.

La Bohéme Event PlanningWhat an amazing company to work with! Our Denver wedding was perfect and I can't imagine what it would have been like without the La Boheme. La Boheme created a unique, beautiful and stress free wedding for us. This company is one of a kind and we would hire them again in a heart beat. Thanks for everything!

The Bridal CollectionThe Bridal Collection was the best dress shopping experience I had! They have tons of dresses in a wide price range. The staff was always friendly and helpful, whether you were working with a consultant, seamstress, or anyone else. I had my alterations done in house and they came out perfectly! Definitely put this shop on your list of places to dress shop!

Since I am already married... This isn't a honeymoon for us. But I thought this post could come in handy for people thinking of honeymooning there too! I have always been a sweats and hot chocolate type of girl... verse a bikini and tan. lol My husband & My 1 year anniv. is in December and we are planning a getaway. I have been looking at flying into Denver for a long weekend.
Now what to do after that.. We really don't want to get stuck in a car for hours.
Option 1:
Go to Boulder for 1 night. Stay at http://www.thebradleyboulder.com/
Then spend the first full day in Downtown Boulder. Later in the day we will drive to Estes Park. We will then stay at http://www.rockymtnresorts.com/fawn-valley-inn

And maybe 1 days take a trip to Fort Collins... to visit the http://www.newbelgium.com/
We will spend the rest of the trip just doing whatever.
Maybe... Go to Breckenridge and do the "ski" thing. :) I don't even know where to begin with the planning for that! lol
Any ideas??

Appliance Repair Denver If an appliance is not operating properly it might be time to call a technician from an appliance repair in Denver center for help because appliances should be fixed as soon as a possible in order to prevent further damage. If the product is still under warranty make sure to call only the authorized service center because an unauthorized service person working on the unit might void the warranty. If the product is not under warranty, original or extended, then one has to decide if the unit is worth repairing.

Jared took me on a surprise trip to San Antonio, Texas. I had no idea where we were going, until we got to the
airport. For those of you who don't know, my favorite basketball team is the San Antonio Spurs.
During the Spurs game versus the Denver Nuggets, the Spurs' mascot came up to our row. I didn't know what was going to happen. The mascot
pretended to lure me away from Jared by giving me flowers and a watch. He came up short when he presented me with an empty jewelry box. That's when Jared got down on one knee and proposed. I was in tears! I was so surprised since I thought Jared wouldn't
propose in public. I'm glad he did.

This was the hardest part for me. I had to not only decide what I wanted to play but on what I wanted it
played.
I decided on Pre-ceremony music on the pipe organ of mostly hymns, since I am so traditional. Amazing Grace, Blessed Assurance, Great is Thy Faithfulness... that sort of thing.
For the seating of the parents and grandparents-Ave Maria
on the organ
Bridesmaids procession-Unchained Melodies on piano and flute
Bride-Mendelssohn's Wedding March on pipe organ
Communion-Pachelbel's Canon in D on pipe organ and flute
After exchange of rings- Annie's Song by John Denver
(my mom sang it at her wedding so it's my something borrowed) on the piano and flute
Recessional- Lorie Line's arrangement of Beethoven's Ode to Joy (Joyful, Joyful)http://youtube.com/watch?v=oao4BMN0M-E&feature=related on piano.

Emily & Matt
July 6, 2008
Pleasanton, CA
Matt & I met through church an an Ultimate Frisbee class at a local community college. It was a summer of throwing Frisbees and learning new things, only to head back to school and spend the next 2 and a half years in a long distance relationship! It was hard, but in retrospect it really helped us focus on getting to know each other and building a strong foundation. After being only 10 miles apart for about a year, he proposed to me on Mother's Day, May 13, 2007. We're planning a Livermore Valley Wine Country wedding and can't be more thrilled to start our new life together!

The Bling,Baby!
It must take someone pretty perfect to pick out the perfect engagement ring. Matt read my wonky sign language to come up with a ring better than the ones
I'd occasionally search for. Not that I searched...often.
Its sparkle is really quite mesmerizing. It distracts me from work. With each key of the keyboard poked, it glimmers and makes me stop to admire. Even more distracting is thinking
about Matt searching for it and all that it represents. When it first was revealed before me, the idea of getting married was a huge shock–a “someday in the future” fast forwarding to that instant. After only a couple days of
wearing the ring, I’d grown accustomed to it. Well, that is, my pointer and middle finger grew accustomed to it.
The only problem with the ring was that it only came in a size 7 and I’m a size 5. Normally in this instance someone
would just run down to a jeweler to get it resized. Since this band had diamonds set, even if only halfway down, three jewelers were wary of the extreme modification. The fear is that in taking out a large chunk of the ring, maintaining the curve
would mean compromising the settings in the band. And no jeweler wants that looming over their head. Instead they suggest making the manufacturer change it, but with buying from Costco (the most bling for your buck!) that’s not an option.
The woman at Costco’s jewelry counter then led me to JewelSmiths. They specialize in unique ring design and taking on the challenges that has other jewelers shaking in their boots. The staff were very friendly and had vast knowledge of
the industry. We dropped the ring off Saturday and were told it would be ready by Wednesday morning, if not Tuesday night. I was nervous about how much this was all going to cost, but it was significantly lower than what other jewelers’ quotes.
And I had much more confidence in the staff at JewelSmiths.
My Dress &
Veil!
Maggie Sottero, Vienna. I LOVE my dress! FI accidentally saw my dress here, so I had tot ake down the photo! I am thinking of altering it a bit tighter so it will be more mermaid style.
From eBay also! Veilsbylana was a great seller with very nice (and affordable!) merchandise.

Save the Dates
We made business card size magnets through VistaPrint.com. We had a good
experience with them and were able to find a coupon online to make them even cheaper. Handwriting all the cards, on the other hand, was ab big pain! I knew I should have spent more time figuring out our printer!

Wow, it's hard to take pictures of the invites! All paper from Paper Source (love them!) and the ribbon from Michaels. We made them ourselves and I think they are awesome! The stamps were embossed, so it really adds a little something extra. If you plan to make your own, please steal my RSVP plan, it helps get rid of those pesky plus ones:
We look forward to celebrating with you!
