I cannot say enough wonderful things about Muffy and Greg at Libby's Flowers! My mom and I loved Muffy at out first consultation, she is such a sweetheart. I was on a tight budget for flowers, but she worked it out with us so that I could still get the bridal boquet that I wanted. I LOVE Peonies, but they would have been too expensive, so I settled for big garden roses. When I saw my flowers the day of the wedding, they were not garden roses, they were the Peonies that I had had wanted. Muffy suprised me with them at no extra charge. They were STUNNING in my wedding pictures. My bridesmaid and reception flowers were also gorgeous!
We also used Greg as our officiant. He did a wonderful job at our ceremony, it was beautiful! He was very personable and performed the ceremony flawlessly. I couldn't be happier with our choice!

I thought Eric and his wife, Nicki, did an awesome job. They were so friendly from the start and I never had to wait long for a response to any email I ever sent them.
Eric really listened to what I had to say, without loosing the signature style that attracted me to his work in the first place.
They worked with the fact that we were having a destination wedding, trading the engagement session included in our package for a trash the dress session the day after our ceremony.
The only reason I'm not giving Eric 5 stars is that I was not sent proofs of our wedding album before it was sent to the publisher. I would have liked to know which pictures were going into the album, as there were some pictures I wanted to see in it that weren't chosen. The album is still lovely, so I'm pretty happy with it. Just that one, tiny thing.

“ SamanthaLovesNic - Wedding Recap with Professional Teasers ”

My wedding was amazing!  There were a few hiccups throughout the day, but nothing terrible and everyone had an overall great time.  Here is a breakdown of the best day of my life thus far.  Enjoy!

9AM: Met with Bridesmaids and my mom to have hair and makeup done.  We drank champagne and ate Gardetto's and Triscuit crackers. We all looked great.  :)

Attention all you L.A. area brides: My bridal hair stylist is moving to Sherman Oaks next month and will be looking for brides to make beautiful.  If interested, shoot me a PM and I will give you her current contact information.

2PM:  First Look..  Nic almost didn't show up.  My mom went to his hotel room at about 5 til to move our luggage into the bridal suit and he was STILL IN THE ROOM!!!  He claimed that I never told him where to meet and at what time, but I did - I called him around 10AM to remind him to be ready and in place by 2PM.  She made him leave right away.  Even though he was a few minutes late, it was so awesome.  He stood in the hotel lobby facing away from the stair case I was descending down.  Once I made it to the bottom, I tapped him on the shoulder and he turned away.  He said I was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen and while he denies it, I saw tears in his eyes!

2:30PM:  The entire bridal shower met at the ceremony site to have photos taken.  Nic and I got married in a MN state park that has the most beautiful views ever!  It was terrible hot and we were all sweaty, but I think the photos will turn out wonderfully.  Here is a teaser my photog sent me.

My wedding was amazing photo 2086884-1

4:30PM:  Ceremony!  It was perfect although a little warm, but I smiled the entire walk down the aisle.  Unfortunately, my sweet little flowergirl wasn't so sweet and wouldn't walk down the aisle by herself.  Instead, her dad (my bro-in-law) carried her down instead.  It was so cute.  My mom stepped into a hole on the way down the aisle and almost fell.  She caught herself from falling but stepped on my dress in the process and left a nice grass/dirt stain on my train.  Eek!  Anyway, the rest of the ceremony went flawless.  We said the vows, poured sand into the unity vase (my sand came from Fort Myers, FL where I'm from and his sand came from his hometown of Duluth, MN.), exchanged wedding bands then was pronounced husband and wife!!!  Here's the kiss!

My wedding was amazing photo 2086884-2

4:45PM: After the ceremony, we did the family photos and then Nic and I drove ourselves back to the hotel.  It was so nice to have those precious few moments together before the reception started.  When we got to the hotel, we immediately went up to our hotel room to freshen up and take off my crinoline (sooo not worth the money.  It was uncomfortable, the tulle kept sticking to my legs while I walked) before joining our bridal party for the grand entrance.

6PM:  Reception officially started.  The food, dessert and dancing was awesome.  Everyone had a great time and kept telling us that ours was the best wedding they ever went to!!!!  Someone crashed our wedding and drew a penis on our wedding tree, but my sister was able to cover it up with some extra thumbprints and it is now barely noticable.  Thank God!  Thanks sissy!

All in all, my wedding day was amazing.  It was definitely worth all the stress and frustration that came along with the planning process!  Here are the rest of my teasers.  I hope you like them!

“ Reception site ” by FSUKristi

We will be having our reception at the River House at Verandah in Fort Myers. It's a beautiful site, full of old-Florida charm like giant oak trees, homes with wrap-around porches, even a river running behind the clubhouse. Here are some pictures of it...

Reception site photo 1 It was all decorated for Christmas when we first visited.

Reception site photo 2 The dining room set up for lunch.

Reception site photo 3 The dining room set up for someone else's wedding. We will have the head table where that green tree is on the side and the dance floor in the middle, under the chandelier. And we'll add our colorful centerpieces so it'll be much better than this! :)

Reception site photo 4 They use this as the private dining room but we will set up our food stations in here.

Reception site photo 5 The back patio

Reception site photo 6 The boardwalk over the Orange River

“ *Mission: Sister* ” by MagischBride

                      Mission Sister photo 1

As some of you know, I came back to PW after nearly a year-long haitus to help my younger sister, Tiffany, plan her fall 2011 wedding. Tiffany goes to school full time, works nearly full time and is raising her two young children, so her free time is very limited. I hope I can help her make her special day into everything she's ever dreamed it could be. Her FI, Jesse, is an ex-Marine - my father is mortified by my sister's "Be Safe - Sleep With A Marine" bumper sticker - who was honorably discharged after being severely injured in an attack by an Iraqi suicide bomber. I'm only advertising this because people often wonder about his scars; its easier this way.

Currently we're gathering ideas and inspiration, but as the time grows shorter I will be posting more on the progress we've made. Those posts will be at the top, replacing posts pertaining to my own wedding. I hope you all enjoy the journey we'll be making over the next year and a half!

Note: I'm replacing my wedding area (Fort Myers) with hers to help us in our search for vendors.

“ Beach Proposal ” by winklkr

Koz and I visited his family in Florida over Thanksgiving.  While we were in Fort Myers we wanted to make sure to visit the beaches on Sanibel and Captiva Island.  We were relaxing on the beach on Captiva Island when I got bored and started searching for some seashells.  After a few minutes Koz decided to join me and we walked down the beach.  I was getting a little frustrated because I couldn't find 'the shell'...the one that was unique and different from all the rest.  Koz reassured me that the perfect shell was out there.  As I continued to look Koz got down on one knee and handed me a beautiful shell.  When I took a closer look, I noticed that a diamond ring was tucked inside the opening.  That's when he asked me to marry him! :)

My engagement ring was purchased from DaValle Jewelers in Harwood Heights, IL.

“ Flowers ” by winklkr

I've never really been big into flowers.  Don't get me wrong, I think flowers are beautiful, but I'm not one of those girls who wants flowers from my FI all the time or needs to have fresh flowers in my house.  So, I had a tough time imaging what I wanted my bouquet to look like.  But, here is what it will look like, starfish and all (and I love it)...

We are using Libby's Flower Shop in Fort Myers, FL as our florist.

Flowers photo 1

My sister, and MOH, will have a similar bouquet with white and green roses and teal bouquet jewelry.

Koz, the best man, and the fathers will wear something similar to this

Flowers photo 2

I had a hard time coming up with something I wanted as my centerpieces because of my wedding colors - brown, teal, and white starfish (and some light green, too).  But, I found a picture online of a centerpiece that I love.  It will be my centerpiece at my beach wedding and will be on top of linens just like the ones in the picture.

Flowers photo 1

For the ceremony on the beach we will get married under a simple bamboo arch decorated with flowers and white finger starfish.  Our aisle will have white and green rose petals on it and every other row of chairs will have a pomanders made out of green and white spider mums.  All of the floral ceremony decor will be reused as decor at the reception.
