Couture Cakes of GreenvilleSusan and Couture Cakes did an awesome job on our cupcakes for the wedding. Everyone loved them. They also were able to recreate out monogram for the 1 layer of cake we ordered. I would totally recommend them to anyone! Their cake is some of the best cake I've ever tasted.

Adore' Amore' PhotographyI cannot recommend Adore Amore enough. Our engagement session was amazing. My husband and I felt like super models. Catherine sat down with us and asked us questions about our hobbies, how we met, etc. She said that our engagement session should reflect who we were as a couple, and I am so glad she did, otherwise we would've just went to the park like everyone else.
We just received our wedding images, and I could not be any more pleased. At our wedding, Catherine was all over the place capturing moments. Two of my bridesmaids and one of my coworkers are using her for their weddings...I "adore" her so much.

Ok, thanks everyone for welcoming me to PW! My fiance, Rafael, and I are going to get married on June 20,2009! We got engaged on December 6, 2008 so our engagement is just over 6 months. We both wanted a summer wedding and a short engagement. In the words of my fav country music artist "If you know who you want to spend the rest of your life with, you want to start the rest of your life as soon as you can".
We met about two years ago while we were out salsa dancing, and he has become my best friend and closest partner in life. We are sooo excited about getting married! Whoo hoo!
This picture was taken right before we got engaged at the downtown Greenville Christmas
parade : )
Look at how handsome he is! CAN'T WAIT to see him in a tux! AHHHHH : ) This picture makes my heart

MrEB3 and I met at what was one of the hottest night clubs in Atlanta, GA on Thanksgiving Night 2005. At the time neither of us was looking for love and neither of us wanted to even think about being in a relationship, but you always seem to find love when you're not looking. MrEB3 called me the next day and we went out on our first date to the Clubhouse in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. We hit it off immediately and have been inseperable ever since. Although MrEB3 was born and raised in Atlanta he was living in Indiana at the time, so we were in a long distance relationship for a few months until I moved to Indiana to be with my man (smile!) We currently reside in South Carolina where MrEB3 is an Engineer and I am a Corporate Recruiter. After 3 years, 3 cities, lots of laughs and a lot of love we are getting married and we are so excited to be spending the rest of our lives together!

February 9, 2008
We went to Atlanta to celebrate my 26th birthday with some of our friends the weekend after my birthday and we had a ball! The next morning MrEB3 woke me up for a "road trip." We got in the car and started heading north on I-85 (in my head I was thinking we were heading back to South Carolina and was quite pissed off but kept my cool.) Before we could hit the South Carolina border MrEB3 pulled off on Exit 126 and started heading to Chateau Elan, a gorgeous vineyard in Braselton, GA, (which I made sure to point out to him the million times we drove between Greenville and Atlanta.) I was so excited I was speechless all I could think in my head was "this is the best birthday EVER!!!" Little did I know that my sweetie had a lot more up his sleeve than just a birthday celebration. While at Chateau Elan MrEB3 sent me to be pampered at the spa. When I was finished we headed back to our room and when I opened the door there were candles lit throughout the entire room. There was a cadlelit path that led up to a table of candles that spelled out "Will You Marry Me?" MrEB3 got on one knee and asked me to be his wife (I can't remember everything he said, I was in complete shock of what was happening and totally amazed that he was actually able to surprise me) I couldn't stop smiling and of course said yes! That was one of the best days of my life... It was PERFECT!

An Emerald Cut Solitaire. I never thought I would be a solitaire kind of girl but once MrEB3 slipped this baby on my finger I was SOLD! I absolutely love it! MrEB3 picked it out all by himself and did a FABULOUS job! Sorry the picture is blurry, we took it with my cell phone the night we got engaged.

We will be getting married on a hot summer Thursday night in Braselton, GA (just outside of Atlanta) Our families live in Atlanta, we both graduated from college there, and we met there so it made perfect sense to have our wedding in Georgia as well. We originally planned to have quite a large wedding, but as the planning progressed we decided to go with something more intimate. We dropped our guest list from 150 to 25! We feel like having a more intimate wedding will allow us to focus on what the day is truly about and to be able to enjoy the company of our closest friends and family. Since we're getting married at a winery, We're naturally going with a vineyard feel with a romantic twist... very timeless. We know it's going to be an amazing day!

When we first started planning we knew we wanted to have a very romantic, chic and timeless wedding. Our wedding colors are aubergine, green and cream. I love this color palatte and think it will look great for a summer wedding... it took us a long while to make a final decision on colors but we made it! I found this Inspiration Board on SnippetandInk and couldn't have done it better myself.

Back to Chateau Elan we go! We were originally going to have our wedding at another venue in Atlanta but with dropping our guest list we decided to have it at Chateau Elan (the same place we got engaged) It will be extra special for us!

Chateau Lawn

Le Clos

Our reception will take place at Le Clos inside of Cafe Elan
We're going to have more of a dinner party feel with lots of candles and good wine! :-)

MrEB3 haven't decided if he will wear a grey suit or a black suit yet.

If he decided to go with the black suit he will wear one similar to this one, Neither MrEB3 or I were feeling colored vests for the wedding so we decided to go with black on black for a modern twist on the normal black and white tuxedos.

MrEB3 also has a three-piece gray suit that he looks extremely handsome in.... so this is a strong contender. (and my choice)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I really struggled with what dress I was going to wear... so much so that I became a "4 dress bride"! AHHH!!!! But... I have made a FINAL decision and I couldn't be happier. I found a GREAT deal on my Gown. I purchased it from a bride on Preownedweddingdresses.com I will be wearing DomoAdami #94156. J'ADORE! It's PERFECT! I love how unique it is and especially love the back! YAY!

Here are some Pictures of the dress on the Bride that I purchased it from.

My Mom is my matron-of-honor and will be wearing a cute black dress in her choice. We'll be going shopping for her dress soon.
HAIR
I will be wearing my hair similar to this...
I have purcased some clay garden roses to go in my hair as well and am debating if I will wear them for the wedding, or in our engagement pictures.

MrEB3's Aunt who is a professional cake designer, insisted that she make our cake as her wedding gift to us. We FINALLY decided on a cake. YAY! We love it!
We're having a red velvet cake and it will be very simple on the outside.....

and instead of flowers we're topping it with grapes similar to this.

VistaPrint was having their promotion for 100 free postcards so I decided to make our save-the-sates. I designed these in less than an hour, I think they came out pretty good and it saved on postage. Oh yeah, and they were free (almost, I just had to pay for shipping) But you can't beat that!
These were ordered when we were going with a larger wedding.

Since we changed our colors (at the very last minute) We have to change our invitations. Stay tuned for the update.

We met in college in South Carolina while he was working on his graduate degree and I was a freshman in college! I enrolled in Intermediate Ballroom Dance Class. He was attending as a favor to the instructer (guys were pretty scarce in dance classes). We decided to venture out of dance class and use our new skills at a local swing dancing club. We dated for 3 years while in school and then took a break when he graduated. He moved to Los Angeles and we did not want to attempt a long distance relationship but kept in touch. I moved to Florida when I graduated and we visited each other. I wasn't happy in Florida due to various reasons so he invited me to live with him in Los Angeles. He currently works for The Aerospace Industry as an Electrical Engineer and I am working as a Hospital Accountant for the corporate office of a Veterinary company. We have been together for over 10 years now and have decided we would like to finally settle down and start a family. Our original idea for a wedding was to go to Hawaii and get married in a small, low key ceremony. But I am the only granddaughter on my dad's side of the family and my grandparents no longer travel so we decided to have the wedding where I grew up... Greenville, South Carolina.

My Dress
My dress is Casablance Style #1896 in diamond white. I bought my dress from Bridal Elegance in Torrance. My dress arrived April 23rd (Happy Birthday to Me)! I had my first fitting the same day. I am scheduled for my 2nd fitting on May 14th. I had to have the top taken in slightly due to my lack of boobage!
The Shoes
My shoes are ballroom dance shoes made by Supadance. I bought them at WorldTone Dance in Los Angeles which is the store that supplies shoes for the dancers on Dancing with the Stars. My shoes are white but this was the only picture I could find.

We bought the flower girl dress from the ebay store 87SweetGirl for $20. We were able to choose the size and color of the sash after winning the auction.

We have two ring bearers in the wedding: my nephew & FI's nephew. They will be wearing matching tuxes with tails that I found online for $15 each. We are renting their vest and accessories from MW Tux. And instead of pillows they will be carrying bowls from the Etsy store Palomasnest.
