Glass Slipper BridalI was glad I drove to this store from Jacksonville! I found my Dream dress & was able to get all the gowns & Tuxedos for my entire wedding party... On top of that they gave me a FREE 3 day 2 night Las Vegas Honeymoon for buying my stuff from there! (I think its your gown-$600 & up, 3 bridesmaids and rent 2 tuxedos) But I was going to have to anyways so at least I got a Free Honeymoon! They also gave us $1000 in gambling chips! was overly ecstatic to have found this store. It was HUGE! I didnt know it till I got there but they also rent chairs, tables, arbors and stuff of that nature (too bad I had already overpaid somewhere else) All together WELL worth the drive!!! Plus they had a lot of fun accessories and shoes! You could pretty much go in here and buy everything for your wedding. Will be sending Everyone I know here!

Mel Roby PhotographyMel did such an amazing job! She was very responsive and on top of it the entire time! Whenever I had an idea she listened or an issue with something she helped resolve it quickly! She is such a sweet person in general and I hope I can work with her in the future! Within the matter of about 10 hours after the wedding, she already had 30 sneak peak pictures! Such quick turn around! She is AWESOME!! Everyone LOVED her and her assistant! HIRE HER, you won't be disappointed! :)

nicholaysen.comMy husband Sam and I got back from the Honeymoon and we finally had the opportunity to gather some family together a few days to watch the highlight video. We all loved it!! The wedding day goes by so fast, that it is hard to remember all of the details - this video was a great way to re-live those special moments! I was surprised at how quickly we got the videos and that they were such high quality. The pictures and sound were both very clear and the highlight video flowed really well. We also really appreciate the fact that our videographer provided the extra copies. We plan to give those as gifts to our parents - we know that it will be really special for them! I loved seeing all of our friends and family on the video - we didn't get to spend as much time as we wanted with everybody, so it was fun to see everyone at the reception talking, interacting and enjoying the evening. Some of my other favorite moments are, of course, the ceremony, our first dance, dancing with our parents, cutting the cake. But, it was also the other little moments - getting dressed, seeing they guys getting ready and what they were doing...all of those things I didn't get to see before the wedding. The video kind of gives you a complete picture of the day! It was interesting, when I mentioned I had my wedding video, my uncle commented that he didn't even really notice that there was a videographer at the wedding - which I think speaks volumes about how well you just blended in, but still captured so much! If someone were to ask me whether to do a wedding video or not, I would absolutely recommend it! After receiving mine, I can't imagine not having it.... we are looking forward to enjoying this video for years to come!!

Mai Oui! GourmetMai Oui Gourmet is an amazing caterer and was a wonderful choice for our wedding! They are very detail oriented which really helped with a bride like myself who is a bit type A, but didn't had a day of coordinator. They volunteered to help with a lot of the smaller details, which was so nice.
We were going to do a seating chart instead of place cards and while they had agreed that would be fine, the week of the wedding they called and asked us to reconsider place cards. Based on their reasons - issues at a reception that weekend, I did reconsider because they offered to make the place cares, which they did. I'm not sure if it worked out better that way, but better safe than sorry.
The one complaint I had was that when the toasts began, they asked if we had champagne. Well we'd exchanged emails about the champagne and I was told they'd order the glasses. Apparently that wasn't done, so while it worked out and they put the glasses out as soon as they were finished serving salads, it threw our timeline off and we didn't have the time we'd thought to go around to each table. My parents also commented that since the food wasn't covered when it was brought out, it wasn't necessarily hot, but rather warm - fine for me, but not for some.
All in all, I would highly recommend Mai Oui and definitely use them again based on the appetizers everyone raved about and the delicious entrees. The value was incredible and they really worked with our budget to get some delicious food within our budget limits.

McGee Entertainment & Events, Inc.We planned our wedding from out of town and one of the goals for my wedding was that it would be a big party all our guests would enjoy. Being the type A bride I am, I provided Milton with, I think, a 7 page list of songs! He did a FANTASTIC job playing as many of the songs I requested as could humanly be played and ensuring that EVERYONE was out dancing and just about all times. Just what I wanted! McGee Entertainment and Milton was some of the best money we spent on the wedding, hands down. I would highly recommend him and am so happy we chose him, 5 stars all around.

Hi everyone! It's my first post, but I've been on the forums before reading so many helpful posts and I figured maybe someone can help me...
My wedding will be May 29, 2010 in Jacksonville FL... and we still don't have an officiant. We are looking for a secular, sweet and personalized ceremony but I've had trouble finding an officiant. I've looked around, and we had a really bad experience with one guy who while we were in the middle of deciding when to meet with him he completely stopped returning our calls and then called 2 months later like nothing happened!
Any recommendations on where to go from here?
Thanks so much!
A.

Hi Ladies,
I am in desperate need of your help. I am contemplating buying a dress online for my wedding reception, however I can't seem to find it in any store in the Turks & Caicos islands or close to the Miami area. I know I'm taking a big
chance here, but I absolutely adore this dress. Turns out the lady who owns Beck'y alterations in Jacksonville Fl does sell this dress. All I need is pictures of the dress showing the quality of the dress and width of the base.
My concern is that it looks really cheap looking and the rhinestone detail isn't what's portrayed in their advertising picture. You guys know what I'm talking about. The dress is from Forever Yours, Style #39201

The lovely brides here at PW have been an amazing source of style ideas and inspiration. I can't begin to thank them all enough.
Eugugoly82 has provided the inspiration for my hair... a loose, unstructured up-do that will be accented with a red rose.
For the Jacksonville wedding: I wore a simple white cotton sundress, piped in black, from Dillard’s, with white kitten-heeled sandals from Nine West. To keep with the retro-feel of the dress, it was complimented by small crystal drop earrings, and ‘pin-up girl’ hair and makeup (makeup courtesy of Tamera Leone of House of Leone/MAC Cosmetics).
For the Las Vegas wedding: I wore a slipdress style gown of re-embroidered and beaded Shiffli lace over a satin sheath, with a semi-Cathedral train. The dress is from Alfred Angelo’s Destination line, complimented by rhinestone-encrusted silver sandals from Nine West, a Mantilla style veil and two red silk roses in my hair. Jewelry was kept simple, consisting only of Swarovski crystal chandelier earrings. My hair and makeup was done by Glam Squad 702 in Las Vegas.

Ben and I actually went to middle school and High school together and were i would say associates during those times. We met back up at a friends party in 2005 and started talking on the phone and a couple months later on my on my 24th birthday we went out to a club in Jacksonville where we live called the Ocean club with some friends and became inseperable everyday since then.
we were soaked at the club it rained on the patio!!
Last year on September 11, 2007 we bought our first home together which was also the day of our 2 year "dating" anniversary. On our first Christmas in our new home he proposed by putting my ring in a match stick box in my stocking that morning, I had no idea since we didn't do stocking stuffers that year for Christmas. It was a surprise and so cute when i opened the match box it said "MARRY ME?" I was sooo happy I cried. It was the most beautiful ring and a sweet/cute moment on Christmas morning.
Since we've settled in our home we want to get started on all the wedding planning. "LOTS TO PLAN"

Wedding Date: Feb. 7, 2009
We are both from Ormond Beach but never really crossed paths in High School. Of course I knew who Rick was, my teacher's son! In college we became friends and attend many parties together. After graduation Rick moved to St. Augustine and I went to Jacksonville to continue school at UNF. One day a major hurricane was headed to St. Augustine and Rick was evacuated. Rick headed north to Jacksonville and bumped into to me at the beach. We haven't left each others side since. Check out our website www.judyandrick.com
THE ENGAGEMENT: Our first date was in St. Augustine. We ate at A1A Ale Works then had cocktails in the the Casa Monica,"95 Cordova." It was 1 day before Christmas Eve 2007 and Rick took me to dinner at "95 Cordova" at the Casa Monica. But he took me upstairs to the pool and I was suprised to see a special lounge area set up for us. Champagne, red roses, candle light...it was perfect. He forgot the camera so the vallet guy went across the street and bought a disposable one.
Bailey!
THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY
My FI parents (below left) hosted a party in our hometown of Ormond Beach, at Frappes. It was a great way for the families to meet. My FI family is Italian and love food. His father made up a special menu with the food, date of eevnt and or names. Everyone took them home for the scrapbook.
THE BRIDAL SHOWER(S) As you can see I wore the same dress twice. It was BCBG and SOOOOOOOOOOOOO expensive. I changed the slip dress underneath and made it two different looks. I will bring the dress with on the honeymoon. I will have wore it 3 times so that $450 bill doesn't seem to bad.
The pink bridal shower was hosted by my two sisters & my Mom. I loved all the details. They placed rice inside the hurricane to hold the candles...so cute! The food was yummy.
The second shower was hosted by my 3 bridemaids in Jacksonville. It sort of turned into a Bachelorette party...we went to a few bars after we opened the gifts. And the FI met up with his friends.
THE CEREMONY will be held outdoors int he garden of The Pena Peck House in Historic St. Augustine.
The RECEPTION will be at The White Room overlooking the intracoastal in St. Augustine.
THE DRESS: Once I bought it everything came together. The whole color scheme & feel of the wedding is based off my dress. My FI has no idea I will not be wearing white. The wedding colors are choc brown, champagne and light pink....NO white anywhere.
Disney's Fairy Tale. Jewels by Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings presents bridal jewelry inspired by Jasmine. Adorn yourself with beautiful baubles embellished in Crystals and Pearls
I have a size 11 foot so I HATE shoe shopping because most brand stop at size 10. I am also 5'9'' and didn't want to tower over everone. They are not the world cutest shoes...but they are so comfortable, low heel and came in my size (Brand: Naturalizer).
Bridesmaids dress from Jcrew. As a gift they will receive these earings from Karen Garner Designs, and a soft choc brown wrap...that can be used as a scarf later.
For the rehersal dinner I will wear the pink dress and this Jcrew coat....black pump.
Invitations: Carlson Craft -Pocket invites. They had 4 cards, RSVP, Accomodations, Map & invitation to Mett n Greet (get together after reheresal). The pocket are choc brown browns, champagnes accent and mocha.light pink ink. Here is a
picture of them online but not in our colors. My sister did the map artwork.
Decor: Some DIY.....
We are placing 3 of these large candle arrangements on the bar. The tallest candle is 20 inches.
INSPIRATION seen on Left.....OUr Cake SEE on RIGHT...Publix made it.
Above is the menu I made that will be at everyones place seating inside the napkin. We are have "action stations" but I thought the menu would help guest know what to expect.
3 Passed Hors d Oeuvers (cocktail hour): Blue Crab Cakes, Spanakopita, BBQ Pork Bisquits
Paella Station: Saffron Rice, Chirizo, Scallops, Clams & Mussels, Assorted Breads
Carving Station:
Herb Roasted Beef Tenderloin, served with Horseradish Cream
Broccoli Gratin
:Fresh Broccoli Baked with Vermont Sharp Cheddar & Bread Crumbs
Shrimp & Grits Martini Bar: Southern Grits served with a selection of Shrimp, Cheese, Salsa & Bacon
Wedding Cake :Yellow Cake with Butter Cream Icing, Chocolate Cake with Raspberry Filling
I design this bar menu. We have an open bar with beer, wine, Absolut Vodka, Tanqueray Gin, Captain Morgan Rum, Johnny Walker Red, Crown Royal, Jack Daniels, Jose Cuervo 1800. I made this "Bar Menu" to display at the bar with our signature drinks. I got nice black frames with a rod iron easel at the dollar store. The reception hall did not charge me additional. I took what they had and made up my own fun drinks.
DYI - TABLE NUMBER
I designed this template for the table numbers and printed them on ecru (cream cardstock) then attached to a skewer stick that I painted choc brown. We bought moss at Micheals and wrapped them around foam squares.

READING FOR CEREMONY read by MY SISTER
“These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and tears of joy.
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children.
These are the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it.
And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.”
Here are the pics from my 2nd trail hair n makeup. I will not upload the first they are HORRIBLE. Panache Salon in

The Rehersal Dinner:
My FI are hosting the dinner at the Columbian Restaraunt for 35 in this private room. We love the spanish decor & food. We walked thru the historic street to the Meet & Greet...hosted at the Historic Hilton on the Bayfront in St. Augustine. The meet & greet was a party after the rehersal dinner...open to all guest to come and meet eachother before the big day. We had a ton of deserts and beer/wine. It was a blast! I would recommend to any bride.
