My experience with Bella's has been overly dissappointing and frustrating. I should have walked out when I first went to look for dresses and the sales girl helping me change into the dresses began telling methe sad story about her and her father's relationship. Here's a tip, complete strangers do not care about your personal drama and you should try to keep an experience like wedding dress shopping positive. It all went down hill from there. After I purchased my dress and it was ordered, I asked for a written description of my dress, after being blown off for about a month, I finally received the review. However, the overly competant team at Bella's gave me a description for the wrong dress, and even had the audacity to tell me that they needed to call the vendor and confirm that the correct dress was ordered. Alterations have been a nightmare. I will sum it up and give the short version. My dress was 2 weeks late being altered, it was not ready until the day of my bridal portaits, and I was forced to wait on it. Needless to say, I was over an hour late to my portaits which were scheduled to be taken outside, and since we were were trying to work with the sunset I was on a short time frame. Not suprisingly, due to Bella's lack of commitment and responsivenss,I wasn't able to take the pictures, after I had already spent well over $100 on hair and makeup. Now I will not have the portait for my wedding day. I would not recommend Bella's for anyone looking for the perfect wedding dress or special occasion dress. They are not responsible, professional and have the poorest customer service skills I have ever experienced. It is a shame it is so obvious they are just in the business to make money and have so little respect and care for the clients, that they do not know what is like to have a passion for what you do.

They skipped town with my money and pics as well. It took us 2 years to get our crappy pictures. Never got everything else we paid for. I have the PO Box info as well but if anyone is checking this, I do have an address for them. Not sure if it is still valid or not but you are certainly welcome to try it.

Punalu'u Productions is fabulous! Ed Elizando is an absolutely amazing DJ! We have heard so many people compliment about his work at the wedding. I'm still getting phone calls raving about how fantastic he was.

He did our ceremony and reception music at our outdoor venue (Sandy Oaks Ranch in Devine, TX). The whole wedding flowed so seamlessly with his prompting for toasts, dances, etc. The lights were awesome and he even had the perfect music keyed up for our surpise fireworks display.

I planned the wedding from Lubbock, TX and he was absolutely amazing about working long distance to get everything organized. He is so personable and professional all at the same time. We could not have asked for better!

Kendra and I have worked together on many weddings. She has always been professional and easy to work with. She's located in Lubbock and I'm in Dallas, which is a 6 hour drive. All of our work has to be shipped, and it's always been a flawless transaction.

She and I have never met, but that has not been problem. All communication is done via email and phone. Again, this has worked well for us.

“ I have to tell someone... ”

{{chest's post made me think of this}}

The other day DH and I are hanging out at the house and he's acting weird - getting texts but not replying around me, when I ask who it is, he said - "No one, don't worry your pretty little head about it."

I HATE that!! I hate feeling like something is going on and I dont know what it is...

So I stalk him out... every text he gets I ask a question to try to get him to put it down so I can grab it and see who he's texting... that didn't work.

So I continue to pester - he says "I have a surprise for you, and I am not telling."

Keep in mind I HATE surprises!! You cannot tell me you have a surprise for me and NOT tell me... so I pester some more.

He finally tells me that he's texting my mom... MY MOM??? Why in the WORLD would he be texting my mom??

So, I pester more... he says, "It's a surprise for both of us."

Now, how is that fair that HE knows but I cant?? So, in my true fashion - I PESTER MORE.

He finally gives in and tells me that he is making arrangements for my mom to watch out kids Monday night, November 1st, cause for our 2nd monthaversary he is taking me to see....

“ the engagement! ” by JK06.12

the engagement photo 1        the engagement
photo 2

Ty and I picked out my ring months before our engagement... needless to say I was on high alert for any behavior that was out of the ordinary; anything over the top would have caused serious red flags.  Of course, Ty was still able to completely surprise me.

I spent the weekend of May 22, 2009 in Lubbock, Texas for the 5-A Regional Track Meet - the same meet where our first date was coordinated.  We drove, so I didn't get home until about 2am on Sunday morning.  I had already decided to sleep in that morning... I took my sweet time getting ready for the day.  I wasn't even completely ready when Ty asked if I had gotten a new cross for my wall.  (For those of you, well most of you, who haven't seen the wall behind my bed, there are crosses of all different colors and sizes.)  Knowing I had been out of town there was NO way I had gotten a new cross... I told him no, but he insisted that I had gotten a new one.  Intent to prove him wrong I marched into my bedroom and much to my surprise there was a new cross... with a white ribbon and MY RING hanging from it!!!  I turned around and Ty was already on his knee asking me to be his wife... YES YES YES!  After the initial shock of the proposal... I looked more closely at the cross, which is inscribed with Mark 10:8 - perfect.

**Random side note... Ty also got me an ADORABLE card - with the flowers I want at the wedding on the front.  He had no idea what I was thinking for flowers... it was perfect!
