If it's possible i will give her -5 Stars.

Yes. MINUS 5 STARS.

*Impossible to get an appointment ( NOT BECAUSE SHE IS BUSY.)
She just wants you to give up on trying to use your sessions that you paid
so that she can make money without training you.

HORRENDOUS.

Jihan did an amazing job at my weddin! She was professional and patient with my large, unorganized family. She gave awesome suggestions and was a great help on our big day. The pictures came out fantastic and I would love to work with her again. She is worth every penny and more! Thank you so much!

my husband and i got married this year on may 28, 2011. our wedding exceeded all our expectations, it was truly the most amazing 2 days of our lives! jihan, our photographer, was a HUGE part of why our wedding was magical and captured EVERY single moment of our wedding! first of all, she and her assistant valerie have such wonderful personalities - that helped our day go so seamless.it was important to the both of us that we have a photographer capture candid moments throughout the day- jihan managed to do just that! our photographs are INCREDIBLE! With as large a wedding as we had (~700 people), they were everywhere capturing every important moment thoroughly. We were so lucky to have found jihan, and she actually not only worked the wedding but she felt like a member of the wedding party. We highly recommend her and guarantee you will not be disappointed!!!

Katie Lee from Bella Destinee was just simply awesome! My wife & I are still to this day so thankful & lucky we had chosen the perfect wedding planner. We were at first skeptical hiring a planner thinking we didn't need one but wow were we wrong! Katie literally became our best friend. She worked so hard in making sure we had our dream wedding come true, and so it did! Katie is very professional & extremely timely & organized. She is always quick to reply to all our emails & calls. From day one we instantly felt her energy & we all shared the same ambitions for our BIG day. When we're all together there is so much energy & after each meeting with her we are reminded how confident we are that our wedding day will be so perfect.

On the day of the wedding, Katie & her assistants completely shined. They worked so hard in preparing & setting everything up! I always thought wedding planners would just project manage but no, they get down & dirty with the preparations. They were all hands on! Many of our guests recognized all their efforts & hard working that day & was amazed how organized the timeline was. My wife & I seriously do not know how we would have survived if we never had a friend to take care of everything for us. Katie is simply amazing & we are so blessed to have her as our friend.

I'd like to also mention, Katie had designed & created a surprise dessert table arrangement along with our florist "Design by Ashley" for us! It was so beautiful! We absolutely love her passion & attention to detail with everything.

Check out our wedding website & wedding video/concept film played on our reception as our grand entrance!

I secretly add soju to some of my recipes.
Manhattan Beach, CA
10/20/2011 Katie Lee and Bella Destinee was not what i expected and this is why i cant not recommend her or her company.

Considering that we had already contacted and paid most if not all of our outstanding vendors, Katie was really only in charge for the actual wedding day.

At first she comes off as a hard working planner who is professional & extremely organized. all calls were returned promply as well as emails.
We were confindent that we could trust her with our special day.

However, these are several examples of why her service seemed very lack luster and unprofessional the day of my event.

She was very short and rude to our makeup and hair vendors, and making remarks that were so unprofessional.

She gave the photograpers incorrect information on where and when they could shoot on the grounds of the hotel and adjacent golf course,
so we ended up walking out there and back for nothing, then shooting later
She did not promply assist our muscians when some wind issues came up, and they needed the hotels help. I ended up going down and talking with the hotel.

Before the wedding march was starting, i personally saw how rude her assistants were at directing my guest to our venue.
They did not even bother to direct them to the grooms side seating and brides side seating so it was all mixed.

When a guest asked where the restroom was located, in a very rude manner told her the "bathrooms that way" and pointed her finger.

I was shocked, but bit my tongue as i was about to walk out with the officant.

Afterwards, we had guest just standing around, they did not direct my guest to go upstairs to the cocktail reception.

Katie and her staff failed to get come get us for the reception enterance. We came down ourselves feeling something was wrong. good thing we did, they came running up as we came down saying "we were just gonna get you".

Katie and her staff failed to go over the seating chart to confim everyone was seated in the correct seats before we arrived for the grand enterance.

Katie and her staff failed to retrieve hundreands of dollars worth of items from our reception and were told that we should call the florist,
hotel, etc as we were ready to go on our honeymoon.

Our special vows that we wrote for each other was given to Katie and NEVER returned.

Considering that a few thousand is the price of her service. I dont personally feel that we really recieved anything special from Katie Lee and Bella Destinee.
Thank goodness that all of our other Wonderful vendors were able to make up for her short comings.

BTW she wants all cashiers checks or cash made out in her name.
that should have tipped me off./// hmmm uncle sam may not be happy

“ Signature Drink of the Week: Sweet Manhattan

Inspired by my urban engagement session that's coming up soon, I thought that I would find an urban inspired cocktail. What's better than a Manhattan?!

Inspired by my urban photo 2617061-1

1 oz Irish Whiskey
1/2 oz Italian vermouth
1/2 oz French vermouth
2 dashes Gomme syrup
ice

In a mixing glass combine all ingredients. Stir well and strain into a glass with a cherry and lemon twist garnish. It can be served in either a martini glass or a high ball glass.

Typically I would source this but it's my recipe so I can't lol... Source Me :D

“ * my New York/Manhattan Girls!! * ”

I need some recommendations from you please  :-)

Next Saturday (the 28th) my girls and I are going down to the city (we're in Albany) for my bachelorette party.  We're going to Bowlmor Lanes for a couple hours of bowling, food, and drinks and then plan to go out afterwards.  So recommend your favorite bar for us to go to afterward! If it makes a difference Bowlmor lanes is by Union Square and we are staying in midtown by the empire state building, but anywhere is fine with me!

thanks ladies!!

“ Can anyone recommend a good seamstress in Downtown Brooklyn or Manhattan? ”

I got my dress a couple of months ago, and decided not to do alterations through the bridal store that I got my dress from b/c it just felt a bit shady.  My wedding is in 2.5 months, and I don't know how to look for a seamstress to alter my dress!  All I can find are seamstresses associated with dry cleaner stores.  I live in Boerum Hill/Park Slope, so someone close to that would be preferred.  Thanks!!

“ The Hair + Make-up ” by konayipark

The Hair Make up photo 1 The Hair Make up photo
2

All hair & make-up were done by Design Visage. They have two locations - one in Manhattan Beach, and one in Newport Beach. I requested Nicole Thompson (of the Newport Beach location) for my bridal hair & make-up, after seeing work she did for other brides.

Nicole and another lovely gal showed up at our hotel bright and early at 6 on the morning of the wedding. They immediately got to work doing the H+MU of my 3 bridesmaids, as well as my mother. Nicole did my H+MU last, so that it'd coincide with when the photographer arrived.

The total for the bride was $450, which includes a preview/trial and wedding-day hair+makeup. All bridesmaid's & mother's H+MU were $140. Application of individual lashes are available for both the bride & bridesmaids at no extra cost, and extra wedding-day goodies (lipstick, etc.) are provided for the bride for touch-ups later in the day.

(Please take note that Nicole did an excellent job making me look punchy, but natural enough for the wedding day, especially important since I'm not a make-up wearer. And the hair lasted throughout the entire day, and was simply amazing!)

“ The Proposal: ” by RebelBride

small bio photo

We went to NYC the weekend before Christmas to visit family and friends. On our second night in town, we were meeting friends for dinner. FI decided he wanted to take pictures of the holiday lights in Columbus Circle before dinner. Keep in mind that it’s December in NY-freezing cold and I was in a boot cast for a broken foot!! So FI drags me out of the warm hotel kicking and screaming to take pictures. As we are walking (me hobbling in a dress) across the street, gale force winds are hitting us from all directions. I was about to abandon ship and get back to the hotel, FI literally dragged me into the park.

We take a few pictures in front of the Time Warner and as I am about to run (hobble fast) back to the hotel, FI told me to wait because he had a gift for me. He pulls out the ring and asked me to marry him. We were literally alone in the park. Believe it or not! Of all places in Manhattan, there was not a single sole except for us. It was as if time stood still. It was the best moment ever. And it gets better.

We walk back to the hotel (more like float back) to meet our friends. As we enter the hotel bar, I see that several of our good friends from NY and LA were waiting for us with champagne to celebrate. I was completely surprised! They all knew and were waiting for us. It was the best night.

“ My amazing ring story ” by aprilxlirpa

My amazing ring story photo 1
When FI and I talked about getting married we decided to buy a moissanite stone because it was budget friendly. We figured we'd upgrade at the 5 year anniversary.
As part of our experience on the Say Yes to the Dress special,TLC few FI, his mother, and his sister to NY Thursday morning. I had no idea they would all be there. They went shopping at greenwich jewelers in Manhattan. They specialize in conflict free 'polar daimonds' that are mined in Canada. He and his family picked out the ring pictured here for me.
Later that evening we went to Tavern on the Green for what I thought would be a drink with the girls. I walked into this private room with FI, his family, and a gorgeous 20 ft christmas tree. He sat me down, read the same poem as when he proposed, and opened the very same box he had proposed with, and presented me with a new diamond ring.
The box he proposed with had been chewed by our dog Lucy. The jewelery store even put black satin over the box so it wasn't all chewed up when he proposed.
He was so nervous his hands were shaking. It was the most amazing thing ever.
