David's Bridal (Costa Mesa, CA)My first experience here was trying on dresses and it was awesome! I had a very nice consultant. But when we came for bridesmaid/ FG dress shopping we had a much less helpful consultant. The alterations were ok, but the ladies in that department just aren't very big on customer service. So I guess it really depends on who you get so it makes it very hit or miss. Gorgeous dresses for the price though! Overall I'm pretty happy with them.

AzUWish EventsI was so DISAPPOINTED with this company and Leroy. Leroy was very nice and listening to my needs, up till he got my contract. Then every phone conversation with him I had to say our needs and wants all over again. Night of the wedding the staff showed up and set up an 1/2 hour early so by the time our guests ate the food was cold and not so fresh. We did the mexican buffet bar. In the contract I was to have staff for 3 hours, and the staff was to cut the cake. When it was time for my husband and I to leave, I noticed the tables through out our reception was not cleaned. I asked my mom to tell the azuwish catering staff to please clean the tables off, my mom came back and said I can't find any of them. Me being the bride goes and checks the kitchen.. and THEY WERE GONE!!! I called Leroy and explained things to him, he then stated his staff called and said they were done and cleaned up. I then told him the tables have plates and cake plates on them.I explained the contract was for 3 hours of service they were to arrive at 6 setup and serve food at 7 which means they should have been here until 10, It was 9:30 when I noticed they were gone. Leroy said he would call me back and never did!! Our family and us stayed and cleaned all the tables and took all the trash out. I felt awful for our familes not to mention my husband and I were one of the last people to leave. I have never heard from Leroy not even a sorry! I would NEVER recommend this company. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR WITH THIS COMPANY>>> HORRIBLE SERVICE.

kelli leslie photographyUnprofessional!!
I booked Kellie last year for MAKEUP for my wedding this November. I had a very difficult time getting her to respond to my e mails in the beginning, but after we finally got a meeting scheduled she was better. She took a $100.00 deposit which she neglected to tell me was non refundable eventhough I hadn't seen her work at a trial (which also costs $100). At the meeting I had confirmed with Kellie that she does airbrushing...she said yes and said we could do half my face with airbrush and half without to compare. When I went to her for the trial (YES, I had to drive to her house)...I again had to ask about the airbrushing which she glossed over with all her talk of beauty and happiness but never did the freaking airbrushing!!! She kept pushing that I could do touch ups through out the night with some great powder I could buy...I told her I didn't want to do that, yet she was going to make me beg so I gave up. She also informed me that she "had just used her last set of lashes the day before", so I wouldn't be able to see them on. When I told her I was disappointed she said we could go to Walgreens and try them on in the PARKING LOT. She went on to tell me I would have to supply my own lashes as well as my brides maides. If she doesn't supply them for trials or ceremony's why did she use "her last set" the night before??
Ultimately I felt like Kellie was just trying to skim by with doing the minimum amount of work and I was going to have to argue with her to get what I wanted.
She supplied no contract for finalization of costs, back up plans, arrival times, etc... yet she charges the same amount as professionals who do all of this, come to you for trials, and supply everything you need. When I called Kellie to tell her I decided to go with another vendor and wanted my deposit back she said no. She has turned down "hundreds" of jobs over the past year to save my date...but apparently she will not be able to book something else in the next 90 days. She also told me she doesn't do contracts because she has been doing this for 20 years and doesn't need to. Kellie talks a great game but doesn't seem to like to work or do what her clients ask if it will require more work on her part. Horrible experience. really

The Event ConsultantsWe got DJ Luis and we do not recommend him. I sent in my info sheet of the event and when we talked on the phone he was asking questions that I had already answered on the sheet. His music was good but his attitude needs a lot of work. When I asked him to turn the music down a bit because guests were having trouble talking to people he said no and that he was in charge. He was very pushy on the timing of things like if we were on his schedule.

This is my first post to the board, since I've only just begun to delve into the process of wedding planning, so hi everyone! My fiance are planning for an August wedding next year in Orange County and have been looking around the area for a venue location. We pretty much love Park Prive in Costa Mesa, but I'm starting to becoming hesitant to make the big commitment. We love everything about the look and feel of Park Prive, and the staff has been pretty accommodating so far, but I'm holding out because I don't know much about the catering that goes on there. There are two options at Park Prive for catering: Patina, or Orange County Wine and Food center. I've heard good things about Patina, but can find pretty much NOTHING about OCWF as far as reviews and such online. OCWF is more appealing to us because it's a bit cheaper in price (obviously appealing!) but I want to make sure I'm getting a good value. I was wondering if any of you have been to a wedding or know of someone someone who had their wedding here recently? The ownership has changed recently so I'd be interested to hear about recent experiences. I just need a little reassurance before I sign my wedding away!!

Just wanted to post this again for everyone!
I went to Jaclyn's to try on a certain dress I was looking for and they are having a huge sale! All Maggie's are between $250 and $400 off the rack. The ones that are $250 are the discontinued styles and the ones that are $400 are styles that can still be ordered. They also have tons of other dress designers at 70% off. Their dresses are in gorgeous condition! Some of them look like they've never been tried on! Just wanted to let everyone know. And the girls were super nice!! www.jaclynsbridal.com

Chris and I met at a Record Store in Costa Mesa, CA. I went in on a Sunday afternoon looking for Records, Yes,
Records. I collect 45's and was looking for more for the collection. I was in my favorite band's section. New Order.... Chris comes walking by and asked me if I was looking at New Order. We talked for about an hour and he then asks me out on a date
the following Saturday. We share the same taste in obscure music!
Here is what my set looks like, it's a 1.04 carat white gold ring, it's beautiful, he did so well!

Our wedding cake was provided in our venue contract via Cinderella Cakes in Costa Mesa, CA. We simply took a visit to their cake shop, chose a style from a set number of styles, tasted a few samples, chose which flavors we wanted for each tier,
and we were on our merry way. So simple.
The cake + silver cake stand were provided by Cinderella Cakes.
The cake cutter + server were bought at The Bombay Company during their going-out-of-business sale.
The toasting flutes
were bought at Crate & Barrel.
The flowers + decorations were provided by Flower Allie.
The candles + vases were DIY.
And the most lovely thing was that we didn't need to save the top layer of the cake - Cinderella Cakes will
gift us with a complimentary top tier on our 1 year wedding anniversary!

Fallbrook is a quiet little town and doesn't offer very much but we did find a place to stay that was close to the wedding site. We will be staying at the Pala Mesa Resort and Spa. They have a restaurant on-site as well as a golf course. This will not only be the hotel for our first night but it will also act as the space that the ladies and I will get our hair and makeup done in prior to the wedding. My Mom was kind enough to give us 2 nights here as my Bridal Shower gift!
