The Pink Cupcake BakeryWe loved how our cake turned out! We gave them a picture of exactly what we wanted, and the baker was ecstatic to be working with my dad on the cake (he hand carved the cake topper). The two of them worked together (long distance!) to make sure their flowers matched in color and shape as best as they could. I think they did a great job. The cake looked and tasted great!
They also did a grooms cake shaped like an Xbox 360, I gave them several pictures, and also the dimensions for the real thing and they did a great job duplicating it. They even made a controller, which I wasn’t expecting. DH was very surprised and absolutely loved it! All of his gamer friends thought it was the coolest.

Art By ChasWHEN I WAS LOOKING FOR A PHOTOGRAPHER, I CHECKED INTO QUITE A FEW AND LOOKED AT MANY PORTFOLIOS TO DETERMINE WHO I WANTED. I WENT ONTO HER WEBSITE MANY TIMES BEFORE AND EVEN AFTER OUR INITIAL MEETING AND FELL IN LOVE WITH HER PHOTOS. I LOVED THE VARIETY OF POSES AND THE DETAILS THAT WERE CAPTURED. THE EDITING THAT THEY ARE CAPABLE OF IS AMAZING. WHEN WE MET IN PERSON MY HUSBAND AND I WERE ALSO VERY IMPRESSED LOOKING THROUGH HER PORTFOLIOS OF NOT ONLY THE WEDDINGS BUT ALSO THE SENIOR PICTURES AND FAMILY PICTURES.
I RECEIVED MY PICTURES AND HAVE TO SAY I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THEM. PART OF THE REASON THAT I CHOOSE HER WAS HAVING THE TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS SO THAT WE COULD HAVE TWO DIFFERENT VIEWS. IT WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING TO ME WHEN THEY TOLD ME THE MORNING OF OUR WEDDING THAT THERE WAS NOT GOING TO BE ANOTHER PHOTOGRAPHER. I FEEL LIKE I MISSED OUT ON MANY PICTURES/POSES FROM ONLY HAVING ONE PHOTOGRAPHER THERE. I FIGURED BECAUSE OF THE FACT THAT THERE WAS ONLY GOING TO BE HER TAKING PICTURES WE WOULD AT LEAST HAVE ALL THE STANDARD POSES SUCH AS THE BRIDAL PARTY PICTURES. I FEEL LIKE DUE TO THE TIME CONSTRAINTS WITH ONLY HAVING ONE PHOTOGRAPHER THAT I MISSED OUT ON PICTURES WITH MY BRIDESMAIDS AND ALSO PHOTOS OF MY HUSBAND AND ME WITH OUR CHILDREN. IN GOING THROUGH THE PHOTOS IT WAS HARD FOR ME TO UNDERSTAND WHY YOU WOULD HAVE 23 PICTURES OF SOMEONE FIXING MY BOW ON MY DRESS AND ONLY 8-10 OF MY HUSBAND AND ME WITH OUR CHILDREN. WE ONLY HAVE ONE POSE WITH MY MAID OF HONOR AND NONE THE REST OF THE DAY. IT IS VERY SAD FOR ME TO LOOK AT THESE PICTURES AND KNOW THAT I CAN NEVER GET THIS DAY BACK. TO NOT EVEN HAVE A PICTURE OF OUR FIRST KISS. AND THAT MOST OF THE PHOTOS FROM OUR CEREMONY WERE THE BACKS OF US AND NOT ONLY THAT, BUT THE PICTURES WERE FROM SO FAR AWAY. WE DON'T FEEL AS IF THE QUALITY OF OUT PICTURES MATCH WHAT WE SAW IN HER PORTFOLIOS. I AM ALSO DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FACT THAT WHEN SHE LEFT THE RECEPTION SHE DID NOT EVEN SAY ANYTHING TO MY HUSBAND OR ME. I FELT THAT WAS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL ON HER PART.
I THINK THAT MAYBE HER COUNTERPART IS THE ONE WHO ACTUALLY TOOK MOST OF THE PHOTOS THAT WE SAW, BECAUSE THE ONES THAT WE GOT BACK DID NOT EVEN COMPARE TO WHAT WE SAW.
I AM NOT HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF THE PHOTOS. THEY ARE OFF CENTERED AND PEOPLE ARE CUT OUT OF THE PICTURES. I FEEL THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO CROP AND EDIT A MAJORITY OF THE WEDDING PARTY PHOTOS TO HAVE THEM LOOK OKAY IN THE FRAMES BECAUSE OF THE PICTURES BEING CROOKED. I DON’T FEEL THAT SHE COULD HONESTLY STAND BEHIND THESE PHOTO'S AND SAY THAT THEY ARE GOOD.
I LATER SPOKE TO CHASITY AND CAME TO AN AGREEMENT THAT SHE WOULD REFUND ME 75% OF THE TOTAL COST. SHE STATED THAT SHE WOULD HAVE MY REFUND TO ME WITH IN 30 DAYS. NOT ONLY WAS IT LATE BUT THE CHECK BOUNCED. I HAD TO LEAVE HER NUMEROUS E-MAILS AND TEXT MESSAGES TO GET AHOLD OF HER. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER SERVICE TO ANYONE. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!

Creative CelebrationsThe worst money I’ve ever paid for anything!! Colleen Smiley was arrogant and said that she was on top of things. On the day of the wedding she was disorganized and then blamed us for the result. I would rate her a zero if I could.

Pastor James TaylorPastor James Taylor, a reverend at The Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church, officiated our wedding. Pastor Taylor is truly a very kind person, and we were very happy with the way our wedding ceremony was carried out. Magnificent location.

We all love seeing pictures, so do this poll with pictures! You must answer each question with a picture (you can answer with words as well, but must have a picture).
Where is your ceremony taking place?
Where is your reception taking place?
What kind of flowers are you having in your bouquet?
What's your favorite wedding detail?
Where are you honeymooning?

Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog by Taylor Mali
A Tribute to Kappa
First of all, it’s a big responsibility,
especially in a city like New York. ----------------------------Will probably change to Baltimore : )
So think long and hard before
deciding on love.
On the other hand, love gives you a sense of security:
when you’re walking down the street late at night
and you have a leash on love
ain’t no one going to mess with you.
Love doesn’t like being left alone for long.
But come home and love is always happy to see you.
It may break a few things accidentally in its passion for life,
but you can never be mad at love for long.
Is love good all the time?
No! No! Love can be bad. Bad, love, bad! Very bad love.
Sometimes love just wants to go for a nice long walk.
It runs you around the block and leaves you panting.
It pulls you in several different directions at once,
or winds around and around you
until you’re all wound up
and can’t move.
But love makes you meet people wherever you go.
People who have nothing in common but love
stop and talk to each other on the street.
Throw things away and love will bring them back,
again, and again, and again.
But most of all, love needs love, lots of it.
And in return, love loves you and never stops.
