Santa Ana Wedding
The Ultimate Santa Ana Wedding Planning Resource

Country Garden CaterersDiana and Country Garden Caterer's were absolutely amazing and my husband and I couldn't have asked for anything more perfect for our wedding. We just got married on August 20th at the Red Horse Barn in Huntington Beach, CA and Diana was not only our receptin coordinator, but the caterer, rental service and an amazing support to us through out our wedding planning. The food was so delicious and everyone at our wedding couldn't stop talking about the stuffed chicken breast and delicious tri-tip. Diana set up all our decor for us for the reception and did such a wonderful job at being organized, fun, creative and extremely professional with everything. I highly recommend using Country Garden Caterer's for all the food and rental services and having Diana be your wedding day coordinator!!! My husband and I are so glad we chose them for our wedding!! The prices were amazing, food was great, rental services looked amazing and the overall feel of our reception was very personal and warm feeling. Thank you so much Diana and Country Garden Caterer's!!!

In The Now Weddings and EventsI worked extensively with Amanda and her team starting at 9 months before my wedding. I hired ITN for full service wedding coordination and was not disappointed. Amanda was there to answer my many, many, MANY emails no matter how repetitive and OCD they were. She is such a creative person and really helped me with the visual aspect of my wedding. Everything looked gorgeous the day of! She helped me with vendors, attended meetings with me, emailed me design ideas, and was a pleasure to work with. During the wedding rehearsal, she kicked butt and made sure it ran smoothly and on time. The day of the wedding, she assisted with both the little (steam ironing my wedding dress) and big things (change of location for the cocktail ceremony due to the weather). I heard there were a few kinks that day but she handled it! I didn't find out about these issues until afterward the wedding which is EXACTLY what a planner should do--make sure you enjoy your special day and not sweat the small stuff! I definitely recommend Amanda!

Pacific BakeryArmando did a great job on our cake and it tasted wonderful! The only comments that I have are that it took often more then one email to get an answer and that they didn't set up the cake at the venue (my wedding planner did). That said, the price was amazing and they were very flexible in finding a way to make our dream cake AND cake stand happen! Thank you Armando and Lupe!

chevonHer work is very unprofessional and unfinished. I really regret having her make our cake. She completely ruined that part of our event. The whole experience after we paid her in full became horrible. At first she seems nice and excited about doing your cake then she completely changes, demanding extra money for completion. She showed up to deliver very unprofessionally, it was clear she had not showered and smelled really bad. I was embarrassed for my guests to see that this person made our cake. Don't just take my word for this, she has very bad reviews, on various sites.

Chiavari Chair RentalsThis company was very easy to work with--they were responsive and flexible all the way up to the big day, and offered a very competitive price. I would highly recommend them.

Hi everybody, just joined the forums. Me and my fiance Lindsay just got engaged two weeks ago after being together 9 years. We are working on around a $10,000 budget. We have looked at several venues and the one we are leaning towards is the Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Gardens. We visited yesterday and love the container garden for the ceremony and Gourmet Gourmet seems great for the food bar and decor. The only problem we are having with the reception area is that there is a large building behind it. All of the focus goes to the other side where it is open, but we are worried that a large building might be distracting especially at night if their are lights on. We are discussing with the venue about this, but we wanted to hear from any couples who had their reception there. Was this building a distraction? -Jed

How important is the honeymoon?
Are you going on a honeymoon?
What budget did you set for the honeymoon?
Where are you going or where would you like to go on your honeymoon?
How long of a trip did you plan?
What made you choose your honeymoon spot?
Are you leaving right after the wedding or at a later date?
Me first...
How important is the honeymoon? VERY! We felt we deserve a break after a year of wedding planning and if we didnt do it then life would get in the way and we'd never do it!
Are you going on a honeymoon? YES BABAY!
What budget did you set for the honeymoon? We said no more than $2000.00. We came in at $1988.00
Where are you going or where would you like to go on your honeymoon? Were going to Gran Melia Resort , Puerto Rico
How long of a trip did you plan? Were doing 5 nights 6 days
What made you choose your honeymoon spot? We origionally chose Key West but when the travel agent showed us the resort in PR we fell in love! We wanted something tropical looking but no passport needed.
Are you leaving right after the wedding or at a later date? Just 3 days after the wedding!

Ok, so it's not 100% but i am really liking this, and i made it myself, but the FI thinks it's too small... keep in mind our tables for the reception are small round tables that seat 10... they have the same glass piece about double the size as well... Also, here is shown silk flowers, but I will be using real flowers, and I am sure I need more white roses, maybe the petals in the goblett to be all white rose petals? what do you think?!?!?! Ideas!!!! tia!!!

Santa Ana Wedding Bios
My fiance and I meet at a church camp over 3 years ago. He was starting off his life at our church in Santa Ana and I was long a veteran of that church (since I was 6 years old). We didn't get a chance to talk too much during that camp, but
after that we seemed to find time to talk and joke around with each other. We went out to dinner once just as friends, but then after that my feeling towards him changed. In June of 2005, he asked me out over the phone and we haven't been apart since
then. He is a romantic and respectful guy who lives life to the fullest. He is a marathon runner and loves playing sports, on the other hand I love watching sports and I am in no shape of running a marathon!!hahaha!!!
We love spending time
together in the outdoors. We have a yearly tradition of going to Lake Tahoe for a week and anytime we have a chance, we are up in Big Bear. I love watching the way he interacts with kids (trust me he can't wait to be a dad) and i love his big heart
(helping others is always on his mind).
We are not only planning a wedding for November, but we are also training for a half marathon (yes you read this right, HALF MARATHON!!) He tells me all the time that he would love to have me by his
side when he is running, so with a lot of will and the help of the one above, I will be taking on that challenge. I have ran a 5k, but that's it.
Well that is a little about us.....

On 9/11 (I know..) after three magnificent years of loving each other, Kevin proposed. I was so shocked that I didn't even have any emotion whatsoever.. but it was fabulous. Then he surprised me and whisked me away to San Francisco for the weekend, because he's the best. His surprises always amaze me!
Our wedding will be May 8, 2009: Ceremony in Santa Ana, CA and Reception in Fullerton, CA.
I can't wait for our life to be perfect and to be his wife, because then I'll truly be the luckiest girl in the world!
picture from his proposal!

Our Ceremony will be held at Waverly Chapel in Santa Ana, starting at 6pm. Waverly is a beautiful old english style stone chapel, with a beautiful semi-gothic interior. Needless to say, it isn't going to take a lot of decorating to make it feel romantic :)
