E. Danae CalligraphyDanae is INCREDIBLE!! I talked to her about the wedding location so she could get a feel for the look we wanted for my daughters wedding. She sent the first proof and it was PERFECT!!. Didn't need any changes, she sent to her letterpress person and we received the wedding invitations and response cards 2 weeks later. They are of the highest quality workmanship, by both Danae and her printer. Absolutely beautiful. As you can tell we were just so pleased with the decision we made in going with Danae. We had shopped locally and never did find the one invite that really made an impact. Danae's invitation and reply card DID make an impact. Just can 't say enough wonderful things about the quality of work and the beautiful calligraphy that she performed.
Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

David's Bridal (Santa Fe)David's Bridal was good to work with. On the day that I went to try on dresses, they were so busy that my consultant kept walking off to get another dress for me, so my MOH had to help me get in and out of my dresses. The consultant was really friendly though.
Alterations was really great to work with, and they did a great job on my dress.
We also got our Bridesmaids dresses from Davids. We picked the dress on our own, and didn't really have any imput from our consultant, but I don't think they help with BM dresses anyway.
Overall, David's was good, and I would recommend them to anyone.

BEAUTY-TO-BEJennifer Bueno is the owner and on my wedding day she was amazing! I booked her very last minute because I really thought I was going to do my own makeup. I'm quite picky about my makeup and was very nervous to hand the brushes over to someone else. After much thought I realized the day would be much more relaxing if someone else was doing me and my bridesmaids hair and makeup. Luckily, Jennifer wasn't booked. (I got married on a Friday evening which helped) She suggested that we start getting ready at 11:30am and my wedding was at 5:30. I was very hesitant to start so early, but this girl knows her stuff. She showed up with all her stuff and her hair stylist Nancy and made 2 stations in my hotel room. It was so much fun and we all looked gorgeous. All my bridesmaids had their hair done, but I was going to my usual salon. Well, long story short I had a hair crisis at my salon and Jennifer's stylist Nancy swooped in and fixed my hair trauma. Let's just say I went from Princess Laya to Princess Grace. Thanks Nancy! Jennifer's talent shows in my wedding pictures. We all look glowing, but not fake. All my girls look beautiful and glamorous, but not to the point where we looked like we had a ton of makeup on. I would recommend her to anyone, but definitely book early if you're getting married on a Saturday. I just got lucky.

David's Bridal (Santa Fe)My bridesmaids found they’re dress online, tried it on in the local store so they were sized right, then ordered it online because they didn't have lilac in the store . The store employees were every helpful but the website was not user friendly.

So we are looking for a U.S. honeymoon. We live in Alabama so we go to Florida, Tennessee and Savannah (surrounding islands) all the time. We are also going to a destination wedding in Tulum less than 2 months after our wedding so we aren't wanting tropical. We are getting married in January and I just wanted to know if anyone has been to Santa Fe, NM or has any other ideas about U.S. Honeymoons.
Thanks!

I just booked my venue the Clarke Estate in Santa Fe Springs for next year. Only problem is there is really slim pickings for where to have the rehearsal dinner. Any ideas from people that know the area or restaurants around there. The only thing I have heard of is Geezer's. Just the name alone scares me, but I'm sure its a fine restaurant.
It will be for about 35 people. And we want an open bar, but we are paying for everything ourselves, so...possibly something for not that expensive.
Thanks!

Hi ladies,
I know that some of us do not or cannot afford the caribbean dream honeymoons. And some simply prefer a city trip over the beach. I know we are all coming from so many different places and thought it would be nice if each girl presentend her own city as a possible honeymoon destination. It maybe inspiring for some who are still looking for the right place to go. On a honeymoon or just a holiday.
Let's go
I am originally from Berlin , Germany. Since I was little I loved the city. It is pulsating with life, young, vivid, artistic and colorful. It offers sth for everyone: museumlovers,art freaks, clubbers, romancers, ecc
it has a number of intersting very affordable clubs, lots of museums,art galleries, green sites, theaters, operas, lovely buildings and castles.
It is such a lovely city and I strongly recommend it:-)))
here are some pics

*Tear* I have come to the conclusion that my small 2-door coupe is just not going to be baby friendly once our little one arrives. DH and I have been looking into new cars, and I wanted to get some advice from other moms/moms to be on what are the best baby friendly cars out there. We are thinking a small SUV... any recommendations?
I like the Honda CRV and the Hyundai Tuscon. Anyone have either?

given that our reception theme is "texas dancehall", i want to take the time to give some appreciation to our great state!
Texas As Told By Jeff Foxworthy
"Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about folks from Texas ...
If someone in a Lowe's store
offers you assistance and they don't work there, you may live in Texas ;
If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you may live in Texas ;
If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed
a wrong number, you may live in Texas ;
If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of Dallas for the weekend, you may live in Texas ;
If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas ;
If you know several
people who have hit a deer more than once, you may live in Texas ;
If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you may live in Texas ;
If you carry jumper cables in your car and
your wife knows how to use them, you may live in Texas ;
If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas ;
If you find 60 degrees 'a little
chilly,' you may live in Texas ;
If you actually understand these jokes, and share them with all your Texas friends, you definitely live in Texas or at one time or another lived in Texas or have or hadTexas friends.

The grounds are so well kept, and the historic nature is gorgeous. With the spanish courtyard, gorgeous backyard, pool with light/fountain spray, and bamboo for backround setting...we were set! Everyone that sees it calls it a diamond in the ruff, because you would never know it was there until you find it! The website does no justice---Needs to be seen in person!
The pictures that I provided were random ones I found on the internet...different photographers blogs.
