Topeka Wedding
The Gown Gallery Bridal LoftI would absolutely never suggest Gown Gallery to anyone I know. I bought my dress here simply because it was the only shop in Kansas City who carried it and I was on a tight timeline. They told me my gown would be in about 8-12 weeks, and it actually was almost 4 months, which made it VERY difficult to get my alterations done in time. I understand that sometimes things take longer than expected, but they didn't call me to let me know about the change in timeline, I had to call them repeatedly to find out when it was coming. Anytime I wanted any information from them, it was very hard to get, and Gwen (who helped us when I went in to buy it) was very flighty and kept calling my dad "Jim" when his name is Steve and we told her this multiple times. Also when she wrote up the invoice, it took us many tries to get it right (price, color, size). Good thing we read over it before we just signed it and walked out or I would have ended up with the wrong dress, 4 months later, too late to change anything. Overall, a very stressful experience, but I'm glad I finally got my dress. I probably would have driven to Topeka or something to get it, if I had known this was going to be the result of picking Gown Gallery.

Absolute Designs by BrendaBrenda’s floral designs are wonderful. She gives you a warm feeling inside when she talks about flowers. I loved her selection and her prices were very accommodating to the budget we had in mind for this aspect of our wedding. She really works with love in her heart. She is genuine, and it shows in the beautiful arrangements and bouquets that she produces.

Stella's Design & AlterationsI wore my mother’s dress. Stella gave it a new look without totally changing the dress. My mother was very happy with the results. She was able to still recognize her dress- she said Stella “just gave it a little taste of 2005.” The best part was that Stella was so friendly and very creative.

My BM Elena (the one who took me dress shopping yesterday) just called and was bawling. I couldn't really decipher what she was saying, but she's coming over now. All I got out of it was that her parents were driving to Colorado for some reason from Chicago and were rear ended and in a bad accident and now in the hospital. I thought she said tractor trailer, but I have no idea what the heck is going on. Just pray that her parents are okay.
