This store is overpriced. The sales staff is, for the most part, helpful and nice, but stay away from the main salesclerk. She is extremely rude and treats customers as though she is their mother, their doctor, and their legal counsel. She made my shopping experience awful, and I will never go back to this store.

AVOID THIS STORE AT ALL COSTS. There are far nicer places in Waco to find your bridal attire that both cost less and have more helpful sales staff.

Before PW, I had no idea that I "needed" a monogram, then I though of all the cool places that I could use it, turns out it became one of my wedding must have, and we used it on the aisle runner, and our programs. Well, I'm the creative type for sure, but this just wasn't something that I wanted to tackle on my own, since I really wanted it to POP with personality. I turned to CJ Designs, and he came up with the PERFECT monogram for us that fit our baseball theme without being cheesy. You can see it here: http://www.projectwedding.com/biography/list/TigerGirl/my-monogram after seeing it, I knew that I wanted to incorporate the baseball stitching else where as well, so we went back to CJ Designs for our Photo sharing cards, and the RSVP cards. (The invites were DIY) I couldn't be more please with how fast he was to do everything, and any little tweaks that were needed he was right on top of them. I would recommed his design abilities to anyone looking for something totally unique!

They were very nice and helpful. The prices were a bit expensive but well worth it. Their flower pieces and desighs were one of a kind and beautiful!

I bought my dress here and they were helpful. I also ordered my bridesmaid dresses there and received a 10% discount. Make sure to ask for discounts no matter where you get the dress--it never hurts to ask.

“ GTKY: Latest life change? ”

I've been missing my PW ladies, and have been swamped with all sorts of "life" happening!

It got me wondering...

Is anyone else dealing with a whole lotta life changes happening all at once? Or even just a few that are taking up your time? You know...besides this whole "wedding" and "marriage" thing :D

Me? Well...FI just graduated with his Masters (FINALLY!), he's living about 3 hrs north of me now (Boo!), and it looks like I'll be moving up to our new place next week (what...so soon?).

I feel like I'm scrambling a bit and trying to keep all my ducks in a row, and our poor wedding is getting the short straw. Hopefully, once July comes around I can start up again. I've got way too many projects sitting on the back burner to wait any longer.

How's life in your neck of the woods?

“ AW: Got a fun dress! What do I wear it for? ”

Hi everyone!

I went to Ross yesterday with my FI and one of my bridesmaids who I NEVER get to see, in Waco, TX. We were looking for a dress for my bridal shower to match these shoes:

Hi everyone I went photo 2822372-1

They are a beautiful dusky pink shoe that I got at Marshalls last week shopping with my grandmother. Trying to find a dress that doesnt completely wash me out in that color is the issue (well, one that I can actually AFFORD! lol)

So while we were looking I saw a really cute dress that I just HAD to try on, and it is AMAZING! Here it is:

Hi everyone I went photo 2822372-2

Please excuse the bad picture and the face... FI had just supermanned behind me trying to photobomb, and I was trying not to crack up. Now, this is a bit to revealing to wear at the Bridal Shower that my fsil is throwing me, but I am thinking I can wear it for another wedding event... bachlorette party anyone?! :D

“ True Love Never Ages - 84 year old marries ”

Dorothy Stallings is a woman who wouldn't settle for less when it came to love. After nearly seven decades of looking for Mr. Right, the 84-year-old Texan finally walked down the aisle on Saturday with her high school sweetheart, Carl King.

"No one ever measured up to him," Stallings told the Waco Tribune-Herald. "I knew how much he cared for me."

TOO SWEET!!!

“ Is there ANYTHING we can do!?! ”

I want to own a house more than ANYTHING! DH's credit is not so good due to his father getting some stuff in his name ($7k worth, stole his ss#, etc) that we are trying to pay off:( Long story! But I feel like it'll neverrrr happen!

What can we do? We have been looking at own financing but I just feel like it can be so shady (and some people want a $20,000 downpayment) as opposed to the normal $2-$5k downpayment here in Texas

:( This is the #1 thing that stressed me out because I HATE renting, biggest waste of $$ ever!

“ 100% Texan ” by amandrew

given that our reception theme is "texas dancehall", i want to take the time to give some appreciation to our great state!

Texas As Told By Jeff Foxworthy

"Here is what Jeff Foxworthy has to say about folks from Texas ...

If someone in a Lowe's store offers you assistance and they don't work there, you may live in Texas ;

If you've worn shorts and a parka at the same time, you may live in Texas ;

If you've had a lengthy telephone conversation with someone who dialed a wrong number, you may live in Texas ;

If 'Vacation' means going anywhere south of Dallas for the weekend, you may live in Texas ;

If you measure distance in hours, you may live in Texas ;

If you know several people who have hit a deer more than once, you may live in Texas ;

If you install security lights on your house and garage, but leave both unlocked, you may live in Texas ;

If you carry jumper cables in your car and your wife knows how to use  them, you may live in Texas ;

If the speed limit on the highway is 55 mph -- you're going 80 and everybody's passing you, you may live in Texas ;

If you find 60 degrees 'a little chilly,' you may live in Texas ;

If you actually understand these jokes, and share them with all your Texas  friends, you definitely live in Texas or at one time or another lived in Texas or have or hadTexas friends.

The Palladium in Waco!

Here is the front, but the inside is the best part!

Venue photo 1

Here is the room empty.

Instead of the tulle from column to column we are wanting to put strings of light bulbs. The light bulbs would be low enough wattage to see the inside of the bulb and just barely add a glow to the room.
