The Ultimate Waterloo Wedding Planning Resource

Studio DIt helped that I had worked with Eddie, the owner of Studio D, a couple of times before for other events. I knew his personality and shooting style, and I knew it would be perfect for my day. He comes out with 2 other people, his wife Connie and his brother Mike. Connie is there for support; she helps arrange, adjust, and fetch whatever is necessary, and Eddie and Mike do all the shooting. They were so energetic! They were up, they were down, they were here, they were there; I have no doubt that between the two of them they probably shot every possible angle of the ceremony and reception space. They are young, fun, and innovative, and that worked just perfectly for us.

Kindred SpiritsKindred Spirits in Waterloo is simply the best dress store I've ever come across. The store itself is quite small, but each dress is guaranteed unique - right down to the owners recording a dress that is hitting a given event so that no one else will have the same one!! They have a small but gorgeous collection of wedding gowns - each hand picked by the WONDERFUL owners of the shop - and a great collection of evening gowns and bridesmaids/mother of the bride dresses. And best of all - they only send you out the door if you look perfect. They have no hesitation in giving it to you straight with what you put in, unerringly recommend what will suit you best and pretty much give the best customer service I have ever experienced.

Dixie ExpressDixie Express is a band that has been around for over 25 years. They specialize in country music, but they cover all of the wedding classics as well. They were a little difficult to get a hold of, but they are true professionals and it all worked out fine. If you have the opportunity to have a band, I highly recommend it. Dixie Express had all of our guests up and dancing, and some even went up on the stage and sang and danced with the band. It was a great time, and really set our reception apart from so many others that everyone has been to. The band even accommodated our request for an early setup, so they weren’t traipsing through the hall during dinner. They really made the night special.

I'm in Ontario for work for 2 weeks so I have been trying to take advantage of being in a bigger city and find my dress!
I stopped in at a shop last night that was well recommended to me, and found a veil that I love (bubble). They were really busy with fittings so I booked an appt for tonight and went back. I found 2 that I really like, and 1 that I think I love! And the best part is that if I order the dress, I get $100 off the veil so I will get the veil for $36!! :) Not to mention it's discontinued and the only one they have of that style.
So here she is! I know it's a Venus, but I'm not sure what the style name is.. Anyone recognize it?

Waterloo Wedding Bios
Brent is a very romantic man... we live in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada... and he decided to take me on a surprise trip down to Myrtle Beach, in South Carolina!!! We had both never been there before, and I had ABSOLUTELY no idea we were going, or that he was going to propose... he even lied while crossing the border because he didn't want me to find out then :)
We finally got there (17 hour drive!!! We love roadtrips though!) and he apparently had the ring in the box in his pocket the entire time, because he was waiting for the perfect moment to propose!! He ended up proposing the second night there (August 21st)!
We were at Broadway on the Beach, watching fireworks on the bridge.. He was holding me in his arms when he started saying how much he loved me, and so on, when he finally said "will you marry me"?!?! i was SOOO shocked, and of course, I said YES!!!!! He was holding on to the ring for dear life because we were on a bridge with water underneath, and I have a tendency to jump when I get excited!! haha.
We then went infront of a random restaurant to have a look at the ring in the light, and Brent was spinning me around looking at the ring, when the waitress came out and said "I'm sorry to ruin your romantic moment... but did you two just get engaged?!?" We said "yes", then looked inside the windows of the restaurant and saw everyone up cheering and shouting congratulations to us!! haha, just like out of the movies!!!
We then went back to our hotel room, and called our parents. He had asked my parents permission (which meant the world to me), so they were very happy for me! When I called his parents (whom I love), after I said... guess what.... I'M ENGAGED!!!
His mother replyed "oh, to who?!?!" haha..
what a perfect, perfect vacation!!
The perfect thing was that I had absolutely no idea he was going to propose, and he picked the ring out all by himself!!!
I Love Brent!!
