Get information about how to get to Newport.

TF Green Airport in Providence and Boston's Logan International Airport are the nearest airports. Newport is a 30 minute drive from Providence and a 90 minute drive from Boston.  If flying in, rental cars are recommended. 

If you want to coordinate a car once in town, for $25pp you can use Cozy Cab to get to and from TF Green/Providence Airport (PVD).  Local RIPTA busses also make the trip from Newport to Providence and will cost under $2 but will also take from 90 minutes to 2 hours to make the trip.
