Visit downtown Jacksonville while you're in town. Stop by one of the many local watering holes, or take a ride on the Lady St John's. Our downtown area is filled with history and definitely growing.

Go see a monkey or be a monkey! October is the perfect time to visit the Zoo, the weather is wonderful and that animals aren't quite ready to settle down for the winter.

The historic city of St Augustine is only 30 minutes to the South of Jacksonville. Stroll the brick roads of St George Street, tour the Lighthouse, visit the oldest schoolhouse or take a ghost tour. St Augustine has something for everyone.

While in town try to catch a Jaguars game. The weather is beautiful in October, our stadium is easy to get to, and it's a chance to see NFL Football in person! It's also John and I's favorite hobby...okay, obsession. :) Go Jags!!

Riverside Arts Market

Visit the market under the bridge! One of my favorite activities in Jacksonville happens every Saturday from 10am-4pm and it's the Riverside Arts Market. It's an outdoor arts, crafts, plants, and local produce market. Here you can find unique handmade jewelry, gourmet treats, produce that was picked that morning, and lots of other things. Weekly local artists perform on the river, and admission is free.
