Our Story
The two met nearly 11+ years ago at Miwa's church. Ryuichi had traveled down with his youth group to participate in an annual parade called Nisei Week. They kept in contact w/ each other frequently and became great friends... both secretly wishing it would be a little more. In 2007, Miwa participated in the Sakura Matsuri in SF-another parade- during her visit they spent more time together and they both felt their feelings for one another were undeniable. Soon after they started to date seriously and have been inseperable ever since!

Ryuichi planned a mini vacation to Lake Tahoe right before their "real" vacation to the Caribbeans for Miwa's birthday and their anniversary. He took her to the lake and gave her a birthday present : a photo album-- in the book was titled "10 Reasons Why I Love Miwa" and he lists 10 reasons why he loves her with pictures they took during the year... the last page went something like this- "there are so many other reasons why i love you but i'll stop here for now. Know that I love you with my whole heart and can't imagine my life without you. Let's be together forever ... i have one more thing to tell you......". Miwa turned the page but nothing, she looks up and sees Ryu on one knee with a small box in his hand.. It was the most sweetest moment ever..

Miwa was born and raised in LA. A social butterfly that tries to live each day to the fullest. Loves to laugh and just be silly. Nothing means more to her than Ryu, her family, and her friends.
Ryu was born and raised in SF. A shy guy at first, but when you get to know him he can be pretty talkative. A guy's guy, but also is that super sensitive and romantic guy. Loves to golf! And loves to make Miwa laugh. He's selfless and just a genuinely good guy. His friends and family means the world to him as well. He's sweet to all and everybody can't help but to love and adore him!
