Our Story

How We Met

Keith and I met at church on Easter, 2008.  Keith was sitting in the row in front of me, and we couldn't keep our eyes off each other!  After the service he introduced himself to me, and asked if I came to that service often....I said that now I would!  For about 6 months after that every Sunday I would look for Keith, and never saw him.  Apparently we were coming to different services and kept missing each other.  Finally one Sunday in October I walked into the sanctuary very early, and there he was!  Keith was sitting with his mom, and they were the only people in the room so far.  I thought to myself, I should try and play this cool and not sit right next to him, because that would be too obvious.  And then I thought, No Way!  I have been waiting for this moment for months!  So I sat down right behind them.  Keith turned around and smiled, and I reintroduced myself to him.  It took several weeks for us to really connect though.  On November 2nd I had plans to go to lunch with some friends after church, so I invited him to come with us.  He came, and finally on November 9th we had our first date.

Proposal Story

Keith and I started talking about the idea of us getting married about a month into our relationship.  Around Christmas we both knew that God brought us into each other's lives for a very special reason.  On Saturday, December 27th, we had plans to go to dinner.  I had a suspicion that he bought the ring the day before, but I really didn't know when he would propose.  After dinner and a movie, we were sitting in his truck talking.  Finally I realized we were just sitting in the parking lot at the mall for a while, and I asked him why we hadn't left yet?  That was when he said that he had been praying a lot lately about us, and felt that God was directing him to ask me to marry him.  Then he pulled out the ring, and said "Jennifer, will you marry me?"  Of course my response was yes!!!

Almost a stepmom!

Keith has two very beautiful daughters, whom I love very much.  Bayleigh is his oldest at 11 years old (on the left) and Jaylynn is 9 years old.
