Martha's Vineyard is located approximately three and a half miles off the southern coast of Cape Cod. It is reached by a ferry that departs from Woods Hole, Massachusetts and by several other ferries departing from Falmouth, New Bedford, Hyannis, and Quonset Point, Rhode Island. There is regularly scheduled air service from Boston, (year-round) and (in season from June-October) from Providence, New York, Philadelphia and Washington, DC to the Martha's Vineyard Airport. Regular shuttle service operates between most of the ferry piers and and the Amtrak station in Providence. Please inquire when booking your ferry reservation for shuttle reccomendations.
Please note that if you would like to bring your car onto the island you will need to travel by way of the Steamship Authority departing from Woods Hole, MA. Please secure a car reservation well in advance by going to: http://www.steamshipauthority.com/ssa/mv.cfm

forty five minute ferry departing from Woods Hole MA; allows car transport. Ferry docks in either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven depending on the schedule. Parking is available (lots are some distance from ferry dock so please allow 20 minutes for travel on shuttle bus from parking lots to ferry.)

Vineyard Fast Ferry, Quonset Point RI
Ferry departs from Quonset Point which is 3 and a half hours by car from New York City. The ferry is an hour and 30 minutes docking in Oak Bluffs. Shuttle bus from the Kingston, RI Amtrak station is also available. Please inquire when booking. Parking is available.

One hour and fifteen minute ferry departing from New Bedford which is about 4 hours and 15 minutes by car from New York City. Ferry docks in either Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven depending on schedule. Parking is available.

Fifty minute ferry departing from Falmouth and docking in downtown Edgartown. "The Pied Piper" and "Sandpiper" are the only scheduled vessels from Falmouth to Edgartown. Valet parking available.

Peter Pan/Bonanza bus lines offers direct service from New York, Boston's Logan International Airport, Boston's South Station and Providence to the Steamship Authority ferry in Woods Hole. The bus also stops in downtown New Bedford, MA which is a short taxi ride away from the NE Fast Ferry dock.
