UPDATES/WEDDING BLOG:

4/21/10 - I wanted to write while everything is still really fresh! The wedding was amazing... Indescribably WOW from the emotions beforehand, to being announced husband and wife, to the dance I choreographed for my bridal party to a Michael Jackson mix I helped create with DJ Jonathan Hennings, all coming together perfectly, I was so proud, happy, overjoyed. Marrying Nick has been a dream come true and to celebrate our love with all our family and friends was so fulfilling! The Michael Jackson mix.... from the moment that idea popped in my head everyone around me that knew of it doubted it would be possible to get everyone from our bridal party to come together and put themselves in that vulnerable position. I stayed determined though not giving up on anyone, because I knew the outcome would be incredible. In between all my wedding planning, I myself had to make time up until the very last week of our wedding finalizing this dance, and I feel so proud of my bridal party for their dedication to stay up late with me the night before to make sure everything looked good. Out of everyone who enjoyed that dance, my bridal party, you have made me of all people so happy and so proud to have come together and made my dream of that dance come true. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for bringing something so memorable and exciting to my reception and being a part of my crazy idea to honor the king of pop, Michael Jackson. We did it!!!! :) Outside of the dance though, the wedding was a blast!!! Everything turned out perfectly! The centerpieces I made - all the flowers stayed sunk, which was a challenge, but thank you Nick's Dad for coming up with the ideas to keep them down! The Shutterbooth was a big hit and seeing our guestbook afters of all the fun everyone had really had me and Nick smiling! The cake was awesome, thanks Danielle! Just thanks to everyone who made our day amazing and special, especially my new husband, because without him this day wouldn't be possible lol.

So our honeymoon... Jamaica is wow!!! From the bus ride to our hotel, the driver said the Jamaican flag stood for: Black for the people, Yellow for the sun, and Green for everything around us... Green is right! I feel like we are in the movie Avatar sometimes it is so green. All this life and positive energy around us is unbelievable! And the entertainment here, so far we have done a horseback ride and swim in the ocean where my horse bucked me in to the water backwards. We went ziplining on a 2500ft mountain. We entered dance competitions, and I won a limbo and music trivia contest and won 2 bottles of Jamaican Rum (YUM!!!) It is absolutely beautiful here. Going to write more when I have more time, but just needed to get my thoughts all out while they are still fresh. Going to go enjoy the rest of our day. Everyting is irie here! There are no problems mon! haha :) Going to enjoy the rest of my day with my HUSBAND!!! :D <3 Mrs. O'Hair (love saying that FINALLY!!!)

4/17/10 - Unbelievable! The day has finally come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This morning is filled with excitement as I try to take deep breaths and brace myself for the days events. I just wanna be able to soak it all in, every last moment of it. Last night I almost had trouble sleeping, but if it weren't for Stray sleeping on my feet like he always does the bed would have felt lonely. Moments after he laid down on my feet I knocked out. Had a good nights sleep and woke up anxious and excited! Heading to the hair salon at 9:30am and the wedding is at 2:00pm. So excited to see my friends and family all come together in celebration of our love. I am so blessed today to experience this moment I have dreamed of my whole life. I Love You Nick, and I can't wait to be your wife. I have drempt of marrying you since the beginning of our dating, back when you asked me how long you thought we would be together, I took a moment and realized forever. Our forever began then, but will continue on today officially. I am so lucky out of all the girls in the world I get to marry Nick. He is the most amazing person I have ever met im my whole life and I am blessed, honored, greatful to have him as my husband! 5 more hours till I become his wife!!! AHHHHH CAN'T WAIT!!! :) :) :)

4/16/10 - Tomorrow is the big day!!! And things still don't feel real! Todays agenda, my family is all coming to town, and me, my two sisters, and my friend are going to get our nails done at 2, and then the rehearsal with my whole family will be at 5:30! Afters me and Nick will go to the reception hall to set up our centerpieces and then we are parting our separate ways for the night. I am sure by days end I will have so much excitement it will make it hard to sleep... But tomorrow is just an adventure I have waited for my whole life, a dream come true. My Mom always said focus on the marriage not so much the wedding, but I feel Nick and I have been focusing on what our marriage will be like ever since we started dating, that now we just get to focus on enjoying every second of our wedding and celebrating with those whom we love. There will be highlights I am looking forward to: At the ceremony, the actual announcement of our marriage! :) The customized prayers for my Grandma who is still ill and my Great Aunt who has recently passed on. The prelude of Amazing Grace I wanted dedicated to my Mom, in a memory of her Mom and the symbolization of the love of a mother. At the reception I am looking forward to our first dance, the yummy cake!, our favors the Shutterbooth, just the overall feeling of everyone coming together to celebrate our love. So much to look forward to, and to think it is all happening tomorrow! I absolutely can't wait for the lifetime of happiness that I am officially entering through marriage. I am a billion percent positive Nick is my one, and feel so lucky and grateful to have found him, and that he feels the same way! It's like winning the lotto, you never think out of the billions of people out there that you actually have a chance... Nick was me winning my lotto because he is everything I have ever dreamed of and more, and I feel our love is a rarity because it is pure and open and honest. I can't wait to make him my husband :) :) :)

4/15/10 - "Wedding Head", what my job calls it. I am having the hardest time focusing. I sit down to read and the words all seem like a blur. The biggest thing on my mind is getting everything done on time for the wedding. Granted everything will turn out smoothly, but just thinking about the last minute things consumes my mind. 2 more days!!!

4/5/10 - I don't know how to describe everything I am going through right now but I will do the best I can. I feel like a mess with a meer 12 days before our big day. Wedding nerves mixed with an overwhelming sadness... My Great Aunt Ann passed away this past weekend on April 3rd which has personally effected me in alot of strange ways. I always thought since I was little that with her passing, it would effect my Grandma in a domino effect. My Grandma is a strong woman, the strongest I know, but I know this will be a huge emotional blow to her. A wise friend told me that instead of worrying I should pray for her, so I have been doing just that. I am filled though with an intense sympathy towards her loss and feeling a sense of mourning in myself. In sharing in her obituary I hope to share in some of her memory of those Auntie left behind to keep her memory alive: http://obits.cleveland.com/obituaries/cleveland/obituary.aspx?n=ann-j-marn-ulcar&pid=141507434 May my Great Auntie Ann rest in peace.

3/23/10 - Busy, busy, busy... Had an awesome weekend at my bridal shower out here in Michigan. Things have been so crazy since then, jumbling with some last minute stuff. We're applying for our marriage license tomorrow and Thursday evening meeting with our cateror to design the reception. I still have to finalize my centerpieces, my flowers, pay off all the final balances, and try and relax. I haven't had a whole lot of wedding stress since last night when I found some bad news out about a member in my bridal party. Not something I have time to get into on here, but just something that threw a wrench in the planning trying to rearrange things to fill the void since circumstances have them unable to attend. So much to juggle now and so much I pray I can get done. I am still excited though, and still in a whole lot of disbelief that in 3 1/2 weeks I will be married and beyond that traveling out of the country.  Maybe that's why the nerves still haven't yet. It's so close yet far enough away to not make me nervous. I can not wait for the experiences that lie ahead.

3/13/10 - Went to mass today for our engaged couples blessing. The beginning of mass before the first reading, an elderly woman passed out (or fell on the floor, it was hard to tell from where we were sitting) while standing up. Mass was put on hold as the church came together to call 911 and get her help. It was one of the first times I have ever been so pulled in emotionally at church as the church came together and prayed for the woman. An ambulance was called and the medics put the woman on the stretcher and carried her out. As the church came together for the woman it was very moving. Mid mass the priest called us up for the blessing. Some other couples from some of our church requirement classes were there and the church reached their hands out to pray over us. That too was pretty powerful for me, and looking out across the crowd actually hit me with some reality that we were going to be getting married right at that alter. I was overwhelmed at that moment with excitement, and filled with a little nervousness for the upcoming day. Overall interesting day, and I'd like to extend a prayer for that elderly woman who fell in the church, that she heal in the hospital and can return home soon.

3/10/10 - By the way, Nick's Mom forgot to put our registry on the Michigan Bridal Shower invites. We are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond and Target. Please check out the link to the left for the registry link to our registries.

3/9/10 - Had our bridal shower in Ohio this past weekend which was amazing. I still found myself looking at Nick during it and saying "This doesn't even feel like it's for us". I said that mainly because it's still hard to believe the wedding is coming up so soon, yet it still seems so far away. Even so with every step we take in this wedding planning process, it starts to feel more real. At this point I am too excited to be nervous, but I don't doubt that the nerves will eventually hit me. Alot of progress has been made since my last update. We completed out church requirements, 2 "We Care" classes about communication, 6 sponser couple meetings, and 2 "Living Your Marriage In Faith" classes we just wrapped up. Only thing left is this Saturday 3/13 is an engaged couples blessing at the 5pm mass at our church. Coming up, finalizing things with our reception hall, our Michigan Bridal Shower on 3/20, waiting out these last 37 days for one of the biggest days of our life. 37 days... so soon yet so far away! Can't wait!! :)

2/24/10 - 51 more days... Time has been flying and just the thought of the 1 month mark makes me kind of nervous. Not so much nervous for the action of getting married in itself, but nervous that everything goes smoothly. Planning has been rough, only because you never know how much goes into a wedding until you plan one. I always underappreciated and didn't put in as much as I could have for all my sister's weddings that I was in. Never realized how much work it was, and now I just hope that all the work I have put into this goes smoothly on the day itself. Reality has yet to set in though so my nerves aren't jittery just yet. Outside of the planning, Nick and I have just been working and taking it easy. We have church requirements, 2 of 3 we've completed so far, the last of which are 2 2 hour sessions at the church for "Living Your Marriage In Faith" sessions. We have an engaged couples blessing at the church on Saturday March, 13th at the end of the 5:00pm mass, so anyone in the area is welcome to join us. :) Lastly congrats to a fellow bride to be, my friend Brittany Burney, going to be married in 72 days!!!

2/6/10 - On my wedding response cards I forgot to put the zip code. If anyone wants to add it it's 48108.

2/1/10 - Figured I'd write alot more since the last week has been really productive. Finalizing invites and mailing them out today. Should be a big project since I am making them all myself, but my honey is helping me out making this project happen! Wednesday is another couple process and at the end of the month were finalizing our last church requirement with some group thing and then getting a special blessing done at the church. Almost approaching the 2 month mark, which my goal is to get everything done by then so it can be smooth sailing from there on out. These next 2 weeks is crunch time for me in order for me to make that happen. Once that 2 month mark hits though, the wedding will be here before you know it!!! :)

1/31/10 - Just booked our honeymoon! Booked at Sandals Jamaica Ocho Rios. This trip is going to be amazing!!! Planning on having an adventure unlike any other, with ziplining, scuba diving, horseback riding on the beach, parasailing, windsurfing, romantic cruises on the sunset, and so much more, all with my future husband :) Never been on a plane before or on a trip anything like this, so this should be more than exciting.

1/30/10 - 76 more days to go! Still looking for a reputable hair salon and nail salon to book for the big day! Just finalized and booked my cake from Bach Bakery! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Brighton-MI/Bach-Bakery/107479157451 Danielle's cakes are the very BEST!!! So are her mini cupcakes! :)

1/22/10 - Haven't updated in a long time! Been so swamped between work and planning. We finished up some more couple to couple processes. Initially when I learned of the church requirements I was thinking wow they really make you do alot of preparation, and I didn't think I'd get alot out of it, but surprisingly through the couple processes, I have learned to open up a little bit better some things I tend to hold in. Nick of course knows everything about me, but just opening up to strangers and people in general about my life was always difficult because I've gone through alot of difficult things in my life. So by sharing things openly I have learned alot, and I am grateful the church had this as a requirement because it has been a good experience. Other than that, the registry is finally up!!! Please check out the registry tab- We're registered at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. Any money we recieve for the wedding will go towards a new much needed bedroom set. So excited for all the plans to come together for the big day!

1/5/10- It's a new year! Can't believe I'm getting married THIS YEAR!?!!! Seems unreal to me still! Wonder when it will kick in! :)

10/30/09 - We bought our wedding rings today and it got me even more excited for our wedding so I can give him his. Wedding planning is still going smoothly. Booked our shutterbooth last week which will provide for instand memories for our guests and one of the best favors ever! Also getting our wedding classes at the church done, 3 more to go next year and some couple to couple processes left to meet the church requirements. 5 months 17 days to go... Amazing how fast time flies! Before you know it Ill be his Mrs :)

9/27/2009 - Just got back from Donna & Matt's wedding out in Cincinatti and it was beautiful! I had sympathy nerves for Donna as she was heading down the aisle because I could picture myself in her shoes. Before you know it our big day will be here.. Just a bit above 6 more months and as I've been told a thousand times it will fly by.

8/31/2009 - Thanks to everyone who took part in throwing the suprise engagement party this past weekend, and thank you to all the friends and family who attended. We appreciate all the love and support and it was great to share time together in this celebration of our wedding! Only 7 months and 17 days to go and I am so excited! Time really is flying!

Wedding planning is coming together - Still looking around for a reputable DJ and hairstylist so any referrals appreciated!
