The ring he has chosen is from the "Nalani" collection meaning The Heavens from a jeweler called Na Hoku. In ancient Hawaii, the heavens and stars were a tool used to guide the Hawaiians in their daily lives. The stars guided their journeys. The moon provided a calendar for fishing, cultivating and mystical events. The heavens, therefore, represented a continuous flow of never ending changes to life and love. The scroll of the Nalani design is indicative of this concept.
