We agreed on our honeymoon that we wouldn't do gifts...instead we'd take mini weekend getaways each year.  We went to Palm Springs for ours.  But if you're doing a real gift, the traditional first year gift is paper...maybe something around that?  Is there an author or comic book or something that he loves?  Make a photo album of your first married year together?  Tickets to a concert he's wanting to go to?  All those are symbolic of paper...

Did you already do b-pics, Casey?  If not, you could do that!

jackie- im so jealous!

Yes I did B-Pics already, darn it! I wish I wouldnt have now haha

We have to pay a s#$% ton of taxes this year so our "1 year anni vacation" that we were planning on has drifted off in the wind lol

I know it's paper..I want to do something creative and memorable, hopefully I'll think of something!

Write the story of your lives together and leave a bunch of blank pages.  You can keep adding to it.  Start from the beginning...

I know what you mean! I want to do something special with paper too but I have not thought of anything. We are going to Cancun for our anniversary/baby making vacation. We wanted one more BIG trip before we started a family. I guess the plane tickets could be my paper gift. LOL! :)

What about a scrapbook or tickets to his favorite sports team event or something along those lines.
