Hello Fellow Aug. 2010 Brides!

Can you believe we have 10 months until our month. My wedding is on the 7th! How is everyone else doing on their planning? What do you have done and what have you yet to do?

Hey!  My wedding is on the 21st.  All I have right now is the reception and ceremony site (same place).  And I booked a day of coordinator.  I'm trying to book a photographer and caterer right now but communication seems slow.  I emailed the photog I wanted to book last week and have not yet heard from her :(  How is everyone else doing??

Mine is August 14th, and I have my dress, veil, reception hall, dj, DIY floral and hotel block, but still trying to decide on honeymoon & photographer.

I keep posting and asking where anyone is going, and it looks like it must be too early to know since nobody has answered.

I still need a dress, our rings, his outfit, a dj, invites and to come up with the money to pay for it.

We have the venue (ceremony and reception are same location), photographer, videographer and officiant. We're DIY the centerpieces and the location takes care of all edibles and drinkables so we're good there.

Hey Ladies,

In all honesty, I'm actually more nervous about passing my N2 Dutch exam and entrance into another graduate school program than my wedding (which is on August 7th). Strange hugh?

Since my FI and I live in another country (the Netherlands), we're doing the bulk of the major decisions in 2 two week vacations to San Francisco (December 08, December 09).

In just two weeks in December 08, we booked:

  • event planner
  • parish and priest
  • venue
  • photographer
  • videographer
  • make-up artist

This coming Christmas, we're doing the rest. Or more accurately, we're just letting our event planner "hold our hand" and help plan the rest.

Sometimes I do get a bit jealous of not being more hands on (DIY), and having the time to go back and forth to make the decisions.

I'm sharing my experience though simply to share that a wedding, and all the major decisions, can be planned without much stress. For those ladies still considering hiring a full wedding planner/event designer due to a hectic work schedule/busy lives, it may be the best investment you can make.

((hugs))

Mine is on the 7th too!! I think my ticker says 9 months 3 weeks and 1 day!

All that's left to do is find a videographer. Plus the little details. We are having a beach wedding in Daytona and I am SOOOOOO excited. We are honeymooning on a cruise to the Bahamas!

I am way behind. I havent booked a venue yet for either. I have a place on hold with my deposit, but want to change it. I do have a wedding consultant though : )

grnigrl76 We are date twins :)

As for our honeymoon we haven't made that decision yet it's either Costa Rica or Fiji........... but that can all change in the next few months.
