10pm?!

Hello Ladies,

It seems as though everywhere I look the wedding has to end by 10pm! :(

That is a huge bummer for us and our guests. We are planning a destination wedding in Florida, but we are open to locations (as long as its by the beach and there are fun water activites {water skiing, jet skiis, snorkeling, diving, and most importantly dolphin encounters}).

We definitely want a beach ceremony that is at least semi-private, and we would like water views for our reception. I'm estimating we will have no more then 50 guests.

Does anyone know of any venues that allow you to have a wedding reception that lasts past 10pm?! And if not are there places where an after party could take place?!

Thanks in advance!

Maybe the 10pm is just a guideline and they'll extend it just give a call and see what they're response is.

I'm in the Orlando area and I've found 11pm to be our standard around here. But it makes sense considering Orlando is a larger city than some of the coastal towns. I'm assuming since you're having a destination wedding closer to the beach, those towns are sleepier than Orlando. I'd try south Florida, near Miami, there might be more options around there. There's plenty of smaller beaches around there other than Miami beach. Hope this helps a little :]

Not sure about times, but the Gulf Coast is a beautiful beach area.  Pensacola Beach, Destin, Fort Walton, Panama City.  Here's a pic of Pensacola Beach.

Which area in Florida are you getting married? The norm for the wedding to end in Miami is after 11:00.
