For those who asked, here is a breakdown of my budget...
- Officiant $450
- Ceremony & Reception $5767
- Photography $1400
- Videography $900
- Dress & earrings $975
- Flowers & decor $800
- Favors $150
- DJ $500
- Invitations $100
- Cake Topper $35
- Aisle Runner $239
- Ring bearer pillow $33
- Card box $70
- Guest book $35
- Tux rental $200
- Hair & Makeup $400
- Unity candle $37
TOTAL $11,641
This does not include my make-up trials (I had two) which totaled $250, my shoes which were $100, some votives, rose petals and other miscellaneous stuff I bought which probably totaled another $400 or so. I paid all of
that from my own money not my wedding money pot. So there is about $750 I spent in costs that I paid througout the planning process that I paid on my own. So if you add this stuff up, my wedding was more like $12K.
The venue where I had both my ceremony and reception was, I think, the biggest money saver. I was charged $63 per person ($60/person plus $3/person for chair covers), and it included the ceremony, the cake, and red uplights all
night.
I did not do toasting flutes, table numbers, escort cards or a fancy cake carver set. I just used the generic ones provided by the venue. I didn't do engagement pics. I didn't do a rehearsal dinner. I DIY'd my invitations
and my centerpieces.
If anyone has questions or wants to know what vendors I used, please let me know!
