Today was our 12 week screening and ultrasound. The blood test results won't come back for about a week, but the ultrasound results came back great! It took 3 tries because baby wasn't cooperating. She tried the tummy ultrasound and couldn't get a view, tried the transvaginal (love that word) ultrasound and still not much except for a strong heartbeat. Then gave me some candy and a super cold glass of water. Finally, third time was the charm and we got to see our "baby boo." She said the neck looked good and measured at a normal rate and the baby was growing and the appropriate pace. She even told us it is a 70% chance we are having a boy.....which is so funny because that is what DH and I have been predicting since the week we found out (although I really wanted a girl initially, I am started to get excited about having a boy). We are going to try to not tell anyone the gender because around 16 weeks we are going to pay 25 dollard for an ultrasound to confirm the sex and announce it at Thanksgiving. Let's see if we can keep this secret. Tomorrow I have my 12 week Dr.s appointment, I accidently scheduled it for the day after my ultrasound, so I get to go back tomorrow. What should I expect? Oh and we finally announced our big news on facebook and used our puggle to announce it. All around lots of good news so far!
