My photographer e-mailed me today asking if she could submit my wedding to a wedding blog since I took care of all the planning and while answering some questions I thought to share it with you all. Many guests left the wedding
thinking we had spent $30-$40k ! when in reality our budget was only $15k! our planning period was only 9 months and we paid everything cash! no credit!
This is the way we did it:
BUDGET $15,000
GUESTS: 120
My DH and I paid for our wedding, we got very little help considering all he costs that are involved. We managed to save by
having vendors that allowed us to pay closer to the wedding date or on the same day. Our venue required only a $1,000 deposit and the rest to be paid 10 days before, this was perfect since we did not have to come up with the money right away!
As soon as we got engaged we opened a joint account and started to put money in there everytime we both got a paycheck...it was
exciting to see how the numbers would increase every two weeks :)
