Our first anniversary is quickly approaching on Oct. 4th. What did you get/ plan to get DH? I know the first year is supposed to include paper/ clocks. I already made a shutterfly book of pictures from our first year together but want to get him something else. TIA!

Ours is 10/4 too!  Great post, I have to start thinking about what to get him!

My husband and I decided not to do gifts for each other, but to go shopping together for something related.  For our first, we went and bought a beautiful mantle clock to go in the living room.  Because it's paper, I have heard about a lot of people getting tickets to events or to take a trip.

For our second, we were planning a trip to China (he got laid off, so it has been postponed), but I think it will be a fun tradition!

For our first anniversary we are going to have our honeymoon, officially!!!!! so 7 more months.  In the meanwhile, a lots of mini-moons and dates, as usual.

We just got married so we have a while to go but I already knew what I wanted to get him a long time ago. In keeping with the traditional paper gift I plan on getting him football tickets for his favorite team (Eagles). I'm REALLY excited about giving it to him!
