I don't know, but I can't wait to see what happens! Even though I know 24 has turned kind of silly and sometimes predictable, I'm always entertained by it. I don't know why. Especially now that I have a DVR, I can zip right through it.
So much has happened, it took me a second to remember what happened to his family. Jack's brother was killed by Jack's father. Jack's nephew was held hostage by Jack's father, but was let go in exchange for Jack. Jack's father threatened to kill Jack, but ended up letting him go and giving him a clue. After that, Jack's father disappeared. I must say casting James Cromwell as Jack's father was great.
For the record, I like this plot turn involving the Chinese government. I thought this season was going to involve Jack sneaking around Chinese villages and magically speaking in 50 different Chinese dialects after escaping from the oil tanker, but not much time was spent on that. So I'm happy they've gone back to that storyline somewhat and we get to see Jack fight someone other than terrorists. Yippee!
