I soooooo wish someone had told me to take pics of our house before we had everything all moved in or had started renovating!! I have a few pics of our house brand new, but we have updated tons of stuff and I wish I could post before and after pics. We are about to do some major tiling and sure I could take a pic before that, but it's not the same as the true before pic because we have painted, replaced all the hardware to satin nickel, ripped out the builder grade mirror and replaced with his and hers mirrors, added cabinet pulls, etc. Learn from my mistake and take pics so everyone can see the progress you have made! I have no pics of our kitchen from when it had laminate countertops, white appliances, no drawer pulls, no paint and vinyl flooring, now it has stainless everything, hardwood, contemporary cabinet pulls, paint, a built-in wine fridge, and granite *sigh* It makes me kinda sad!

I agree Mel! I really enjoy looking back at the pictures I took when we were just looking at our house and looking at our house today! It really shows us how much we've changed/updated. 

I feel like an idiot because it seems like a given!!  We do have some pics, but not that many & I wish I had taken a pic of each & every last room.

That is such awesome advice Mel!!!.  I took some pictures before we moved in, but I don't think that I got every room in the house.  I will definitely take some of the rooms that we still have to finish this weekend. 

I agree! I have a couple photos of the condo the first month I bought it just because I had a housewarming and took tons of pics. I love looking at those to see all of the differences.

One of the reasons I'm so psyched for House Hunters is because I'll have a professional little video showing our place in the very beginning :) 

Great tip!  I do have a lot of 'before' photos but unfortunately the quality isn't that great because I didn't remember to take pics until last minute...literally the guys were at the house ready to work...so I used my cell phone for most of them ;/
