OMG last night was SO scary! There was thunder and lightning and rain and wind...well, you get it.

A tornado actually touched down here in Battle Creek, Michigan; it tore a built in porch from a house, and knocked down their fence. The really bad part? That house was my grandparents.

Luckily, they weren't at the house; they were in Florida for my younger cousins' graduation. The graduation isn't until tomorrow though, and they had to come back today because there is SO much damage, so they are missing their youngest granddaughters graduation from high school. :(

No one got hurt either, so that is something to be positive about. They could really use your prayers and thoughts ladies, I know how awesome you all are!

Oh I know!  Last night my husband was out of state and I was alone, and the thunder and lightning was crazy, and then the tornado sirens were blaring and newspeople were saying to get to a safe place in the lowest level of your house.  It looked like a long night of storms, so I ended up sleeping in the basement on our futon mattress.

I'm around the Ann Arbor area, and they were so bad over here.  Thankfully our house is ok, but a lot of our roads are totally covered in water.  It's such a blessing that no one was killed.

Glad everyone's ok on your end too and no one was in that house!

It was crazy last night, i live in northeast monroe county and the sierns went off around 11 then again at 2, my fi works at Fermi 2 and they had damage done to reactor building and a steel roof was ripped right off the building. Of course i was alone last night and freaking out!

I live in toledo, not too far from you gals. I guess it hit here too, just outside toledo in walbridge. Tearing down part of a school and fataling injuring several people. Also, in Dundee, which again isn't far from me, there was major damage to Cabela's and the University water park...ripping roofs off and everything. It seems they were all around me and, I feel sooo lucky that we didn't have any problems. My thoughts and prayers goes out to those affected. Man, I was a little nervous tho, we were in our new home for the first night ever and that happened. We don't have cable til tomorrow so I was relying on my mom calling me. Internet was just tooooo slow with the updates.

August, I heard about Fermi too.Glad you and Fi are ok.  I can't believe how crazy it was. I slept thru the second one somehow and heard about it this morning. Hope this isn't just a taste of what's to come.

We live in Washtenaw county! FI was out of town celebrating his brother's birthday (sans storms), so the puppy and I huddled in the stairwell of our 2nd floor apartment. So scary. I feel awful for the areas of Ohio that got hit so hard. ((hugs)) to the Mi and Oh brides!
