If you enjoy knitting caps, here's a great charity to donate your work to - Knitting for Noggins. Here's how their homepage describes themselves:

"Help make a difference in the lives of patients and families at Arkansas Children's Hospital! Knit or crochet hats for children of all ages through our Knitting for Noggins program. Knitting for Noggins is one of the many ways you can help make the lives our patients and families brighter. Since the beginning of our program, we have collected over 211,000 hats to keep our kids' heads warm."

The Resources and Helpful Hints are especially informative, giving pattern suggestions, examples, sizes, and the like. I love that the caps are given directly to the patients (and their families) at the children's hospital, not sold to them.
