Hey ladies. When it comes to other brides I'm full of ideas, but for myself I'm clueless! I cannot decide on a veil, or a tiara, or nothing. All I know is I want my hair DOWN (maaaaybe partially up in the front) with loose breezy waves. Here's a pic of the dress- let me know what you think I should do with the jewelry, headgear, etc. I'm lost! Also, would it be weird to ask a bridal salon if you could bring your dress in and try on veils and stuff? I bought my dress in LA and I live in Sac- so I can't exactly go to the place it was purchased. Thoughts? It's hard to decide these things!! =)

You are definitely build for a strapless gown. I wouldn't wear anything around my neck. Maybe an elbow or fingertip length veil (this might be too heavy for a down hairstyle though).

lol, I might be afraid of the dress getting dirty.

now you go to my post and help me with my veil issues ;)

I think simple diamond or pearl studs would be perfect for this gown. You can also try drop earrings. Have you considered a floor length veil for the ceremony? It can add a lot of "drama" to the gown. But, a fingertip veil would be great too.

It wouldn't hurt to contact bridal salons in Sac especially if you are looking to buy a veil from them.

You look amazing in that gown, congrats!
There are lots of options for you with the elegant line of your shoulders. For wearing your hair down you could go with a simple fingertip veil, I would go with a more sheer version with less bunching at the comb so it won't be too heavy. You could also do a sheer chapel lenth veil too... kind of a long and skinny variety like I wore. I'm not a huge fan of tiaras, especailly if you're wearing your hair down, but a pretty headband could look great. Keep in mind that you don't have to wear a veil. You could just put a few small flowers or jewels in your hair and leave it be.

For jewelry you have lots of options. It's really popular right now to go with no necklace and fancier chandelier earrings an a pretty bracelet. If you wear your hair half up that could look fabulous. If you do decide to wear a necklace, I would go for a simpler look so it doesn't distract from the pretty details on the bodice of your gown.

Good luck!

I have always been wishy washy on veils. I need to look up this 'fingertip veil' as I have no idea what it looks like! =) I'm having my hair trial next week so maybe my stylist can help me with ideas.

you look amazing in your dress! i'm not too fond of tiaras, esp when they are big buts thats just me. I believe the new rave is handbands. I bought one with rhinestones and its just beautiful. a headband would look nice if you wear your down or half up. I even tried it with a veil and looked cute. theres a picture in my bio if you want see my potential look with the headband. i really think a veil would help you feel more like bride. but you really don't have to wear one. with your dress, something simply and flowing would look great. nothing poofy. i decided against it at first, but tried a simple not so full n poofy one and it was way pretty to say no to. as for jewelry, i thought something like this, it's simple yet elegant. if you wear your hair half up or down. you can find matching earrings or wear pearl studs. or whatever your preference is. do you have any ideas in mind already of what you would like to wear? i really like abattyref's ideas for your hair and jewelry too. good luck!

the model looks great in the dress!! WAIT - tha'ts not the model - that's you! hellooo gorgeous!!! Dan's gonna fall over when he sees you!!

just me, but im not fond of tiaras - but depending on how you choose to style your hair, a headband may work??

i picture you glammed up - almost red carpet style - since the dress is so "WOW" with the asymmetrical cut and mermaid fit???

if you pull your hair back and leave it down, maybe a gorgeous pair of chandelier earrings and no necklace??

or if your hair is completely all down, then a stunning necklace??? but then you dont want to compete with the dress deets...

hmmmmm... i'm no help huh - i think i may have confused you more, no??

have you checked out http://www.tigerlillyjewelry.com/

I think you girls are right-on about the tiaras. I think I was envisioning something super small, a headband might be perfect! (if I do anything) I am such a plain girl & all of these accessories make my head spin. I rarely wear jewelry (just studs & my e-ring and a tiny solitaire necklace) so picking out special occasion stuff is nect to impossible for me.

I will check out that sight right now, thanks!
