have you done it?  this is a step up from mystic because you have a person apply it for you!  i'm doing a trial on Sunday...just wondering your experience.  better, worse, than a bed/mystic?  how long it lasts?  (she claims 7 days).

it will be awk standing there naked, though!

I HAVE! it worked great! BUT it IS best to already have a base tan. it was sooo much better than the mystic, which turned me ORANGE! really really orange lol its hard to say how long it lasted becuase it faded so gradually, one day I woke up and realized I was white again

it was really akward standing there naked, but it wasnt for too long...it most akward part is when you have to spread you butt cheeks a little and lean forward lol

Mystic tans are horrid. I've never liked them. I do versaspa if I get a spray tan. As for the airbrushing, I used to get it done quite often for pageants. My pageant coach owned a sprayer and would do it. Little less awkward for her to do it then a total stranger. I loved them. Super flawless and didn't rub off or get brassy like some spray tans. We did it over my regular tanning bed color to even it out and blend better. It lasted for several days, but granted I used to tan a lot and exfoliate so that helped wear it off quicker. Do several trial runs to see how you like it and what looks best for you.

i wanna get one but was really worried about turning orange. i am pretty white

I have done the airbrushing a few times, VERY different being nude/semi nude having a stranger spray paint you with the cold crap, BUT it does look good!

My only suggestion is to have it done at least 2 days away from your day because the color WILL rubb off of you and onto your dress, that is what I am doing because it ruined several of my white bras in the past and my dress is too special to have what looks like a homeless person's body grunge on the inside!

Yeah...my daughter won't do it!  She hasn't given me a good enough reason...Are there any negatives??????

I did it and thought it looked really well - BUT it did rub off. Not super much, but if I took a white t shirt and rubbed it against myself it rubbed off - and that to me was just too much of a risk for in my wedding dress , especially underneath the arms or something.

You also cannot wear any that is alcohol based while you have it and you cannot exfoliate because both of those things make the tan fad super fast. So no perfume, which I did not like, and I also am a big exfoliater especially before big events so I did not like that either...

Ultimately I decided against it and I just tanned in a booth like 4 times before. I didn't burn at all because I did the completely UVA free one or whatever it is, and got just a little "glow"... I did not want to look tan, I just did not want to look pastey ya know?

On another note, I bought a tanning lotion I think it was called Special Occasion? or something and laid 2 times in the instant tanning beds (you don't burn) the week before my birthday. I had a really good color by my birthday and it did last a lot longer than airbrush. If you're getting the airbrush done for your wedding, I would look into that route instead so the color would last through the honeymoon.

my advice: do it 3 days before your event.  Do not have any big plans for the night you have it done because you do turn kinda dark...I only had them spray me twice on the body and once on the face.

i did it for a pageant and it looked pretty good but it made me break out really bad like all over my body. My chest and back (places where I have NEVER broke out) were covered in pimples. Just make sure you watch your body after you get it done and make sure you dont have the same reaction.
