airbrush makeup?

What's special about airbrush makeup and is it "better" or more expensive than normal makeup? I think it's supposed to last longer, but does it look as natural?

Airbrush supposedly looks more natural. I found this explanation at airbrushtouch.com:

When I had my airbrush makeup done, it was super light and sheer and did not flake off. It holds up pretty well with rain and humidity. I never got shiny, which made me really happy.

Airbrush is good if you GET THE RIGHT PERSON to apply it! I've seen terrible airbrush. But then again, I've seen lots of terrible traditional make up as well. In the end, it's the result that is key, and not necessarily the means by which the result was achieved

This is true. A bad airbrush job looks horrible. I regularly do aibrushing on my brides and I think it looks natural and flawless. However, the skin should be prepped right for it to look natural and not "flakey". Good luch on finding the right person!

Airbrush is the way to go. My bridal party and I were airbrushed and I couldn't have been happier. It was lightweight feeling and looking and lasted all day. It is also water proof so that helped as well. My makeup artist came highly recommended to me and she was great and reasonable. Her Name is Nora

I dont think airbrush is all that great. If you get a good make-up artist that can apply a base naturally I think it is just as good without the extra cost.

The main thing to remember, is that you want to look flawless for your pictures AND in front of your guests. You want your guests to see you... not someone that reminds them of you. Do a trial run of both options if your makeup artist offers both, and then you'll be able to make an educated decision. Chances are you won't even notice a difference if your makeup artist is good. And airbrushing tends to be on the more expensive side since it hasn't been around nearly as long as traditional methods. In my personal opinion, do what makes you feel comfortable and will set your mind at ease on the wedding day. Good luck!
