Sorry it took so long for me to update you all! It's been a crazy two and a half weeks with a newborn and a three year old. I had made a doctor appointment for May 15th because I had bloody show for four days at that point and I thought my water
might be leaking. After my appointment she sent me up to labor and delievery for an NST to see if I see if I was feeling contractions I wasn't feeling. So I was on the monitor for about twenty minutes then the nurse had me go walk. The nurse and I
thought for sure I would be going home but the walking I did was enough to get my contractions up to 5 to 6 minutes apart and four cm. My midwife said to eat and then to bounce on the birthing ball or walk. In a couple hours she had planned to break
my water to help move things along. At this point I was still feeling great. I walked and did some stairs until I was starting to feel the contractions in my back then I got in the jacuzzi tub for awhile. I got out and tried to rest but I couldn't
relax enough to I went back and forth between the tub and sitting on the toliet. At some point I asked for a small dose od nubain to help me relax. So I had to lay in bed for at least an hour. I was drifting in and out for I'm not sure how long then
I felt my body pushing. I told the nurse so she checked me and she said uh your baby is right there! I don't think your going to be able to make it into the birthing tube. I told her no I want to try after this next contraction. I don't know how I
did it but I managed to walk from the bed to the tub. I was getting ready to sit down and my body started barring down again. My midwife and the nurse were like sit down! sit down! It was so hard but I mangaged to push threw the contraction and sit.
After a few minutes of pushing little Alaina was here on May 16th at 4:45am. She weighed 6lbs 10oz and was 19.5 inches long. I am still in shock that the only pain relief I had recieved was nubain. It was hard but she was so worth it!Josh, Bella
and I are so in love with her and can't imagine our lives without our little peanut.
I have a bunch more pictures on facebook if anyone would like to see more. Hope everyone is doing great!
