Aloha has to wait a few more months

so i just got off the phone w/ fh and we've decided to move our hawaii trip from august to november... 

due to someone on his team having to take her maternity leave earlier than scheduled due to her health and the health of her baby - her doctor mandated her to be on bed rest for the rest of her term, so his boss told him, not suggestd or asked, but told him that he could still go on vacay, but that he'd have to bring his laptop and work! WTF??? i understand - i was going to have to work a few hours a day as well - but i can work the "time zone game" since i deal with people in london and on the east coast... some are on west coast time also - but it's not that big of a deal for me...

but most of his "dealings" are with west coast people, so he'd have to be "on" the majority of the day since hawaii is only 3 hours behind...

so we figured november would be good - we've decided to move our wedding date to nov 4, a week before his bday... and we're switching our visits - instead of first week in oahu, we're switching that to our 2nd week and doing our first on big island, so we get married on the front end of our vacay.

i just sent an email to our wedd coordinator, our travel agent, and the mua...

i'm bummed, but i'd be more pissed off if we went and fh is on his friggin laptop stuck in the room...

once again i'm so glad we bought the travel insurance so we only pay $100 to change it...

still ugh!  i guess i should look on the bright side and this gives me more time to lose more weight??

i'm pretty sure i can still book the little chapel - it's hawaii and it's a random tuesday in november - like what are the chances ya know??? and it's only june - so heopfully all will go smoothly...

i do hope his pregnant co-worker is ok tho and her unborn baby too...  seriously, i'm kinda relieved we are moving it - i would be so pissed off if when we got there he's just working while i'm wanting to go to the beach or drink and shit right???

oh dirty, hope everything goes smoothly with the date change.... i'd be bummed too - for diff reasons though, i just can't wait for this all to be over already! hahahahaha.

I am so sorry for the added stress!  In the end, it will be better.  You won't have to keep the secret of being married as long and you can enjoy your time together.  I hope that all of the changes go smoothly!

ya that's right dirty, you wouldn't want to spend the time with him on the laptop.  it still sucks though.  you are so sweet to think of his co-worker, that's really looking at the bigger picture.  i hope to learn from your wisdom...= )

maria - true.. at least you'll be able to have quality time "together" with him NOT on his laptop... hopefully everything will go well with your vendors... keep your head up ma!! =)

hmmm additional 3 months - maybe i wont hve to wear my spanxx if i just keep on hitting the gym?? ok other things that are silver linings???  no back fat???  no double chin???  no bat-wings???

aww!!!  Sorry to hear that.  Things happened for a reason...I bet November will be more perfect month for you and your FI.

Let me see, what do I tell myself since I had to postpone my wedding one year.....I have more time to save, and more time to plan!  And things will turn out even better now.

after hawaii in november - i still need help planning for aug 09's church wedding!

i just hope her unborn baby is ok - like i can always marry fh - we can get married this week at the courthouse ya know?? but losing a child or her own life due to complications is "worst" --- you can never bring a child back - whereas fh and i already have each other... i dont know if my rationale makes sense...
